Democrat War Profiteers John Kerry & Joe Lieberman
by PAT SHANNAN (AMERICAN FREE PRESS)

(June 28, 2008) A new study by a non-partisan research group shows that congressmen and senators stock holdings in various companies doing business with the Defense Department totals more than $196 million, earning them millions in profits individually since the start of the war in Iraq.

The Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics says that 2006 financial disclosure statements suggest that members holdings could pose a conflict of interest as they decide the fate of Iraq war spending.

Several members who earned the most from defense contractors have important committee or leadership assignments, including Democratic Sen. John Kerry, independent Sen. Joseph Lieberman and House Republican Whip Roy Blunt.

The study found that more Republicans than Democrats hold stock in defense companies, but that the Democrats who are invested had significantly more money at stake.

My knowledge is mostly PC, but sounds like you picked up some spyware. Update all of your protections and run them.

If that does not work then go to download.com find a free spyware cleaner (I use spybot S&D) but don't know if it supports mac. Then try a free virus scanner and see what pops up.

The thing is that there is so much malware no matter what you are running it will miss something.

If all that turns up nothing then tend to your disk drive, paging space, and processes. As bug stated the offending process may be sucking up CPU cycles, or thrashing the ports, or disk drive.

If that fails take tow aspirin and a get a good nights sleep;)

Hi chuck, start the activity monitor and sort the processes by CPU usage. That tells you which one sucks the processing power.
