Frank Zappa is very impressive and absolutely right!
Why are they so afraid of the f word?
It seems like some people believe the first amendment is a recommendation to be applied only when it does not conflict with their conservative values. I believe that unless some one is preaching to hurt a fellow man (which is a crime) or topple democracy (democracy needs to protect itself) you should never limit free speech.
hes right, language is already always political, and democracy and free speech do not entail each other, but a democracy always has the power to nullify itself, the us is only a democracy pro forma and/or americans themselves are fucked
God…. I miss this guy. What a great musician and spokesman for the industry. It is truly difficult to have an intelligent argument with close-minded individuals. Frank maintained his dignity throughout his many attacks over the years. Good thing he did because without it, formats such as this site might not exist.
frank zappa handled it very well and he was 100% right
the words are not the problem its the actions people take (by choice) that are the problem,people will always make choices and you cant stop them but you can prevent them from doing things that take away freedoms from other beings,everyone has a right to live,nobody has the right to take that right away or force their lifestyle on them,but you dont have to follow the people you dont like
