there is enormous variety on this earth. we are not all a bunch of robots that look exactly the same. variations occur, but a change in the kind of animal does not. evolution is not observable. we will never evolve into another higher kind of creature. we will however observe great difference and beauty in our offspring. there is enormous amounts of information in our genetic code that gives room for these changes. however we will never observe new genetic code created. mutations happen, however they always involve existing code, and a deterioration of the original information.

how convenient. evolution is not observable on any level. millions of years is a convenient excuse do to it being unobservable. pangea, speciation, etc. are somehow fact, but we can't observe them? yeah right. evolution claims we evolved from the first single cell approximately less than 2 billion years ago right? our human bodies have 50-75 trillion cells depending on the source. that means we should see on average a gain of 37,000 cells a year. there is 0. before you tell me i don't understand evolution, don't you think that the raw data should support this with any creature? it doesn't. there isn't even any room for variance.

i do not believe that evolution is science on any level. however, i do believe in natural selection, but all it does is select. it does not create anything new. i also believe the survival of the fittest. that is just common sense. however it does not create any new genetic information.

millions of years is more fantasy then a 6,000 year old earth. (no creationist thinks it is exactly 6,000 years, that is a rough guess. probably give or take a couple thousand years) there are many simple observations that support a young earth. all cultures and human history on earth do not exceed 7,000 years. the sahara desert has been growing at the same rate for thousands of years and it is calculated to only be 4,000 years old. (right around the end of noah's flood, which i believe there is a significant amount of geological evidence for) the great barrier reef has been observed to be growing at a steady rate for the past 20 years. it is calculated to be about 4,000 years old. (again, this correlates right after the flood of noah in the bible) there are several lines of observation that limit the earths age to less than millions of years. besides the dating techniques (potassium-argon, uranium-lead, carbon 14) are all based on pretty steep assumptions.

Scene, my (old) house near the river, two pre-teens and "heavy" dad clinging to life on a dead fall in a raging river they had no business being in, only minutes to live, lots of people gathering, no can or will help, the sound was deafening, the water extremely intimidating, I thought for sure I was about to witness a tragedy. Here comes a sheriffs officer, my friend ###, he is the county sheriffs swat team leader, master diver, hero many times over. In under 5 minutes he's saved them all, SINGLE HANDEDLY, the entire crowd, numbering near 100 cheered, it was very moving. I thank the powers that be that this man is here on this earth! He reacted like he'd done this a thousand time before, the professionalism and guts this deputy has are a testament to the men and women in blue, or in his case brown.
There's more of us than them.

yes, deliverer I saw that too. If we're counting limbs this guy looks more like a uniplegic at first, but quads can still have some use of all limbs. To be quadraplegic or tetraplegic all four limbs must be partly affected.
I did notice that, then chalked it up to probably lost use of his legs, as in he can't control them, but there may still be some ability to move them. They look pretty thin and non-used. He does have some use of his arms, but they look pretty weak and spastic too. Bottom line, he is handicapped, quite obvious to the casual observer. His body is bent out of normal shape, his movement are flailing, rather than purposeful. That is probably why he is in the "quadrepalegic" category.
The officer was wrong to do what she did, but absolutely does not mean all officers are wrong, or that even she herself hasn't been right at some other time. This time, she definately dropped the ball, did the wrong thing. No doubt in my mind, she will pay a heavy price for it, as she should. And hopefully, she will learn a little compassion. Or at least learn to think before she acts, if the situation is not life threatening.

mitercut, lots of fish to eat ,the casinos were bogus.i am not interested in wasting my time or money, but we did a horse expediton through Arikok national park. Lots of birds and tropical plants, ,kododo lizards and snakes . We didn't see any snakes , too many tourists every where. The blast for me was kite boarding I did it almost every day. We tried to go skuba diving at Malmok Beach but it wasn't available at that time . We rented motor bikes and searched the place , Thialand beaches are much better.

Taking a vacation from Glumbert is not a bad idea. I have purposely stepped back from this site days at a time, and am posting much less frequently. I let myself react too emotionally several times...and became pissed at myself for letting this site "get to me". I am not blaming the posters....they range from the barely literate to the surprisingly bright, and each feels free to make comment. My reaction to their posts is what I can control, and I didn't always do such a good job of it. Now, I am avoiding responding when I feel my anger or frustration rise...as when a "sore spot" is being scraped by some poster. You have your sore spots, and are reacting to the scrapings of a number of ignorant, biased posters who are getting off on acting tough...emphasis on "acting".
Take some time away. You must be impressed with how so many are responding to your tirade above...the site would be poorer for your departure, so just cool it for a while, and return smarter for the experience.
BTW, on the subject of showing what good is done by the police (sheriffs, etc.), haven't you noticed the number or reality-type TV programs these days...TRU (formerly Court)TV is one that comes to mind, but there are several others that feature real-life action, much of it heroic...and man, that's NOT what I'd like to be doing for a living. So, don't think the few bizarre videos on Glumbert carry much weight with most of us.
Cops are good. Bad cops are bad, so we catch them when we can, as with this vid. But Stream made a good point way back when, if what the work good cops do is worth having to risk the bad ones (until we catch), rather than folding the whole tent and letting gangs run the streets, why is it that the same rule doesn't apply to so'jers. On the subject of cops, a 12 month stint working in NY/NJ saw me doing a lot of miles over the year. Having that international drivers licence just made life soooo much easier.
Unfortunately my youth and enthusiasm at the time, coupled with a brand new company car meant many traffic stops for speeding, only ever one ticket given despite some of those stops being for very high speeds.
Admittedly it was from a young State Trooper towards end of month so am assuming quota needed filling... I think the rest of them just sawa shit load of paperwork and felt a warning was the better option given I wasn't an easily trackable US citizen.

arseface you're very insightful .I once had a teacher that was intelligent but a blowhard,just like Canucky . The teacher was five eleven about 250 lbs,and he hated athletes even if our marks were ok. He is one of the people I really got a kick of dissing, similar to DUDE OfficerRivieri , my image of canucky. Today my wife went to church and I didn't want to go . What a great way to pass an hour in the morning pissing someone

I like how there's debate on how paralyzed he is. I can walk and use my arms yet I'm a quad. I suffered a broken neck in a car accident and all four of my limbs are affected to varying degrees. It more depends on what level of the spinal cord the injury happened rather than how paralyzed someone thinks you look.
