Hmmm...I'm going to call this explosion a "ANFO"...with a fused blasting cap probably a number 8. ANFO is great for this type of "activity". A real good heaving explosive that'll get the job done safely and cheaply. ANFO or ammonium nitrate- fuel oil, mix is the same type used in the Oklahoma bombing. This is a slower burning explosive than other more common types, its VOD or velocity of detonation is around 11000 to 15000 fps depending on the bore size (hole it's in) and length of same. The proper ratio of fuel to oxidizer is very critical in achieving the desired result and would be inappropriate for me to offer up what that mix ratio is.
