The French need these trains to get their troops as far away as possible as fast as possible.

tgv engine was manufactured by alstom, a great anglo/french transportation manufacturing company.

If they would hold the camera still, and let the train pass by it, you could tell how fast it was going. This footage gives you no reference frame to judge the speed by.
