One of my brothers (who is an obsessed Michigan football fan), while on shore leave from his ship in Italy, became home sick for his "team", decided to get a tattoo of a "Block M" with wolverine. The problem was, nobody there new what a wolverine looked like! So in his determined (drunken sailor) frame of mind, he drew one for them..which they copied exactly. The best way I can describe it is....a brown bear with an alligator jaws!
My other brother, being Army Airborne, had a one of those Airborne wings put on his forearm and last year he tattooed the name of his recently deceased 9 yr old son on his calf.

Well miter your not alone i have 3 buddies that own tat shops and i have no ink on my body its something u have 4 life different strokes for different folks i guess my ex's dad when he dies wants to be cremated and his ashes put in ink and tatoo his kids with it that to him and his kids means alot do i want my parents ashes on my body not particularly and i still love them
The weights teacher at my school had a chinese symbol tattoo on his shoulderblade, and he thought it meant "peace and wealth" or some crap like that... until a foreign exchange student started laughing at him when he showed the class. Apparently it translated into something along the lines of "Steaming Cock Ocean".
Friend of mine got an 'invisible' tatoo - it reacts only to black light. I thought it was cool until another friend pointed out that the ink they use can actually tend to 'run' with age.
Scary to think how that might look, but then again i'd hope by then she's staying out of clubs and such, and hopefully not stripping.
my friends brother is a prison guard, the white gangs in prison are by far the most lethal. he told me about their tat symbols . when you see a tat of a spiderweb on an elbow, that actually means the person was inolved in a racially motivated homicide. (and i see em all the time on skinny teenage metalheads/skaters)..a shamrock indicates membership in the arayan brotherhood. there is a bunch of stuff like that ....but if you get sent to the joint the AB dont think your legit will burn/cut them off or kill you

he worked at atascadero and san quentin.... he got stabbed at atascadero and retired early but booze finally did him in within a couple of years. he was a really funny and good guy, the AB has joined forces with the southern mexicans and control alot of the meth distribution in the state, heroin too, California basically had to build a prison just for them and the mexicans called Pelican Bay Penitentiary. they keep most of them in isolation...they are bad. if you cross them they have no problem killing you and your family.

I've heard of all of those....especially San Q. and Pellican Bay, and that they are bad-ass places.
I'm guessing the place up here that comes close to the level of Pellican Bay or San Q., is Millhaven Penitentiary and Kingston Penitentiary which are both in the city of Kingston, Ontario (about a three-hour drive, east of Toronto). I've got quite a few buddies who work there, and they say the AB (or a version thereof) are quite active in both facilities.

canuck, plane all this talk about jails and prisons, first off they are not guards, they're corrections officers, I'm at a prison in Mass, or at lest I have an office at one. I work as a Project Engineer and have alot of jail jobs. I've built three different faclilties in mass. The CO's job is to me the worst job in both duties and danger anyone could have, most take the 20 yr retirement and go work someplace safe.
Inmates and CO live the same life during work hours, some say the inmates are safer.

I think some tatoos, if tastfully done, are beautiful. I wanted a daisy chain around my ankle, but alas my husband will have nothing to do with any tatoo's on his woman. He's no fun~~ I'm probably too old anyway. What's the cut off date for a tatoo?? ha!
