This vid is depressing as hell. There goes my Wednesday.

An ad to rally people to try and stop global warming. If only Al Gore hadn't been born.

yea that would stop it;

Hell, I have animials run in front of my car all of the time trying to commit suicide, and always feel obligated to speed up or swerve to mow them down. If a snake slithers in my path, I wait until I am almost up on him, then slam on the brakes and skid across him. It is way cool watching 15 parts of a snake slithering all at once.
Don't forget to put it back together before sunrise;
Shit. Meant sunset.
So that's why that chipmunk ran under my mower. I should have known I guess, but as I emptied the bag and examined the corpse I discovered the little bomb that he was wearing, that failed to explode.
So my cat didn't die of natural causes. It offed itself due to global warming. Funny though, since it's an indoor cat.......
hey it's the circle of life like mufasa said. every animal must die. whats the difference if they get ran over, hung, or bear grills eats them in the wild. the vid was a downer tho.
Maybe it is the circle jerk of life.
They probably just needed prozac.
HAHAHAHAHA, wow, that vid just made my day. I havent laughed as hard in awhile as when the monkey hung itself. Monkeys doing anything is funny, riding a bike, throwing poop, suicide.
Pathetically lame attempt to use pure emotion to push the global warming socialist agenda. It wasn't bad enough to show a starving polar bear, or dead penguin chicks, or rain forest turning to desert? No we have to really reach for ridiculousness.

As Ted Nugent famously said, animals think about what to eat, what to fuck, and when to sleep... kinda like the French.

We are where we are, man is going somewhere whether he wants to or not. As great cheif tittycarcar said, man not happy until man not happy .

Global warming is bullshit.
Look back in history and you will see hotter temperatures 80 years ago.
What a waste of time and money
I can't think of anything to say in response to that other than: fuck yes.
The only thing I can say is: Fucking stupid dumbshit!
Pompous humans...we thinks we is all life in this universe. All will be beyond our "conciousness". Just live and die and quit thinking you spin a planet.
The problem is we depend on the very ecosystem we fuck up. The planet will survive in any case, though the same can not be necessarily said about humans.

chimps are mean, they tear ppls faces off. polar bears are even more evil, they will kill anything just for fun. Kangaroos are big rats. So far Im ok witth global warming even if it was real
1 year ago
Don't forget about Lemmings of which there are many on Glumbert.
this is retarded. there are only two animals that can willingly kill themselves and that's humans and scorpions. this shit is designed to make you feel bad and hopefully keep people interested in the global warming that no one is talking about anymore because they CANNOT PROVE THAT IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING!! so, sorry mr. monkey, mr. kangaroo, and mr. polar bear... you died in fucking vain!
Were any animals harmed in the making of this video....? HAHAHAHAHAHA...

Give me a fucking break.
Reading through the comments, it does my heart good to see that there are this many people out there who don't swallow the lies of the man-made global warming ideology.
Yes, but there are still some dumb enough to vote. We're all getting sucked into this shit, every day it gets deeper, and sooner or later, our own political system will likely be our doom. It sure has me depressed.
Don't worry god will save you.
So most believe in a high almigty, but NOT GCC? Glad I'll be dead in 10-15 yrs. The rest of you young people will find out one way or the other, just keep praying.
Bingo, Gym.

These fucking planks will have NO problem in believing in a talking snake, or that the Earth was created 6,000 years ago or that a burning bush (not the one in the White House) actually talked to a guy......but they're quick to say "global warming is bullshit".

LMFAO!

Fucking retards.
The bible bullshit is not hard fact but fiction. Understanding the effects CO2 and other gas has on the atmosphere is not fiction but hard fact, hard to understand too. Especially the point of "no, there is not one specific place you can go to where you can absolutely measure global warming" is the hard part to understand.

So people opt for the easy thing: Believe instead of understand.

The thing about global warming is that it is impossible to proff 100% sure. There are several indicators that support the thesis of global warming. But doing nothing is definitely pure idiocy. Do you really want to be proven wrong about "global warming is a fairy tale"? After all we part of the ecosystem that goes bonkers.
i'm not surprised at the confusion surrounding global warming, a lot of money has been spent to keep you that way....
The National Academy of Sciences, an independent organization created by Congress to provide scientific guidance, has released an important study.

here are some points

"In particular, the numerous indications that recent warmth is unprecedented for at least the last 400 years and potentially the last several millennia, in combination with estimates of external climate forcing variations over the same period, supports the conclusion that human activities are responsible for much of the recent warming.

......

Climate skeptics routinely point to other periods of time where there were temperature changes the early 20th century, or the medieval warm period as proof that global warming is not real. This fundamentally misunderstands global warming science. The scientists have taken natural variations in temperature under consideration and concluded that the current warming trend is different. Human activity is driving it."
Well, there you have it. An independent organization funded by congress couldn't possibly have a bunch of know-nothing buffoons at the helm, spewing out nincompooperies and buffoonerisms like so much encopresis.

The money of which you speak has been spent by these deadbeats who know that if they ever got within a thousand miles of scientific debate, they would lose their cush government-funded jobs in a heartbeat. This is why there has never been a scientific debate heard by the public. You hear people whose job it is to keep sucking at the teat of government funding screaming that everyone who disagrees with them is evil or that they are under the influences of some evil organization. The debate continues, but the people with the government's megaphone have (surprise surprise) the loudest voice and the greatest ability to filibuster. They have gotten their useful idiots to repeat tired cliches such as, "i'm not surprised at the confusion surrounding global warming, a lot of money has been spent to keep you that way...."

They tell you that they have "...concluded that the current warming trend is different...", yet they don't open up the disucssion to debate. And people spew back this tripe like the brainwashed yokels that they are expected to be.
joe

there is nothing left to debate....

also re: concerning their qualifications and compensation...

"The National Academies perform an unparalleled public service by bringing together committees of experts in all areas of scientific and technological endeavor. These experts serve pro bono to address critical national issues and give advice to the federal government and the public.by the way

Pro bono publico (usually shortened to pro bono) is a phrase derived from Latin meaning "for the public good." The term is used to describe professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment

also ...they categorically reject creationism.....i bet that pisses you off
1 year ago
chuck: the debate is very much open, so don't try to close it down

the data used by the IPCC, upon which the global warming doomsayers base their reports, has been proved to be distorted. Indeed, NASA have had to withdraw their estimates when it was pointed out that, and get this for funny, they had calculated it wrong.

Makes you less confident about going up in their rocket ships eh?
manolo manolo, you'd argue with a fucking bulldozer, just let it go, and agree with someone for a change, you're a real madrid fan right, still feeling bitter about Robinho going to Man city, here in Britain (best league in the world, thanks to oil and ex prime minsters buying football clubs etc) man city are shit, does that rank real madrid below man city? just a thought?
i cannot deny that losing robinho is a serious bummer. the guy is talented. he is, as we say here in madrid, 'la puta madre' (the dogs bollocks) - but i'm still right about NASA and the temperature figures. we're cooling, not warming. this year in Spain = lowest temperatures for 20 years.
You got that right Joe.
Joe, exactly which academic degree do you hold?

I think it is quite interesting that the majority of the meteorology scientists agree that there is a global warming or at least there are indications for a global warming and that it is very likely man made, but we do have geniuses in all internet forums who have likely a degree in trolldom and know it better.
look look manola is canuck1396, oh i forgot i don't give a shit
1 year ago
manolo, that is what I said earlier: There is not a single place where you find the evidence. Air temperature is just a very small part of our climate, it is actually rather unimportant. Much more important is the thermal energy level of the oceans, and that is rising significantly, the melted ice alone accounts for a lot of energy now in the oceans.

Nice blunder with your alias, funny how most poeple never get away with this for long.

How depressing. They should not call it "global warming". It's more appropriate to call it global climate change, but whatever. I cant argue cause I have to do a shit load of homework.

To all the global warming sceptics who have posted, do you honestly believe that man is not having an effect on the earth in any shape or form?

The physical evidence is for all to see, i'm not talking about the weather, i'm talking about nature, how man has destroyed the natural balance of everything in his path.

Global warming...whatever, man destroys pretty much everything in his way with his hunger to evolve, therefore global warming if true would not surprise me, it's all about balance, i'm no scientist but life in ever shape or form is all about balance and man has long forgotten about this.

Surely nothing a good plague can't help out, we're overdue. Were you in that video crying over the trees cut down?
There is always the same divide between people;

Group one:

usually Pro god, usually republican, dislikes liberals, disagrees with global warming, disagrees with anything that isn't in the mainstream news, no to evolution.

Group two:

Think for themselves
skids which group do you fall in? There are another groups that think unamerican the canadiens. Most of us are liberals and believe in the global warming initiatives. Then there is the canucky and that euro trash ratbastard.

Canadaman, i don't know what the fuck i'm talking about! i fall into that group

wow. that was an incredible waste of time, and felt more like a PETA propaganda advert than it did a PSA to support initiatives against global climate change (global warming).

They failed to show the deer that (try to) commit suicide right in front of me!

Miter sits high up in his tree stand (notice no coma after high). An arrow protrudes from the lofty platform with tip glinting in the setting sun. A dark shadowy figure is silhouetted against the multi colored leaves and reddening sky, the smell of sweat, textiles and bug spray quite obvious to a deer whose sense's of smell, sound and movement are many orders of magnitude better than a humans. Yes they see me, they hear me, they smell me, yet they come to stand before me, sideways even, as if they are trying to commit suicide.

Before you tag me as an unsympathetic killer of fury creatures, let me try to explain my motivations... I drag my disillusioned, overworked, old and achy, stressed-out carcass into the woods and sit on the edge of a cornfield, waiting for the first unsuspecting deer to pop it's unlucky head out of the corn. It%u2019s not that I like to kill things, because I really don%u2019t. The final kill of the hunt has always been a bit anti-climatic for me. Sure, I love the challenge of the hunt, and to be certain, I love to provide meat for the table, but, without a doubt, (especially these days) I just need to get away, to get out there into the "real world". I want to go where no one knows my name, where I can just climb a tree and melt into the woods. I need that for my own survival, my medication for stress.

I know that even while I sit calmly in my tree stand, scanning the fields with binoculars, that only a few hundred miles away Wall Street was careening towards destruction and doom, probably taking the rest of the civilized world with us. But right now, I just don%u2019t care. Sometimes, in order to survive, you have to rise above the uncontrollable things and latch on to something more universal and something greater than ourselves. I suppose one could go crazy if they never rose above the fray, climbed a tree and shrugged it all off.

Time in the woods is also time to reflect, to find your center, to re-evaluate who you are and where you want to go. I do that as I watch the sun go down over the cornfield. I realize that, as hard as I try not to, I%u2019ve been letting others control my life, that I%u2019d gotten too busy, and that I need to seize the day and slow my life down again. After a few hours of reflection and relaxation, the tightness in my chest, and the knots in my stomach begin to loosen up and go away.

A few minutes before sunset and I see the tops of some cornstalks wiggling back and forth. There I see antlers moving through the cornstalks.... It was showtime!

After what seemed like an hour, he stepped out of the last row of corn, I could easily see he was a healthy, average-sized buck with a nice symmetrical 8 point rack. He was alert, and I could tell he sensed something was wrong by the way he stomped his foot and tasted the air. I%u2019ve always been amazed by whitetail deer, their keen senses and survival instincts. He was a beautiful animal, and, for a moment, I considered letting him go. That moment of power and truth always causes an inner battle within me. Because, at that moment, I hold the power of life and death in my hands, it%u2019s totally up to me whether that deer lives or dies. Sometimes, I lower my bow, or gun and just watch until they walk away.

My heart-rate was up, but not like it was when I was younger, the sun was almost down and the air had a bit of chill to it. I heard a squirrel gathering nuts below me, up in a tree beside me, I could hear a woodpecker eating bugs off the side of a dead tree, off in the distance a tractor farming field. I was a world away from cataclysm on Wall Street, from suicide bombers in Pakistan, and from muggers in Detroit and downtown Chicago.

I waited until his head turned away before raising my Browning bow up, I clip my trigger release onto the string, take a breath and draw back my deadly razor tipped missile with 95 lbs of force behind it, putting the lighted sight pin right behind the shoulder about halfway up his body. At only 25 yards this will be a high percentage shot that I can literally make with my eyes closed, he is mine! With the moment of truth upon me, the weight of the world off me, a calm came over me and I let the arrow slowly back down and let him go. I think to myself, "this is not your day" and at the same time I feel better than I have in a year, the last time I let one go. Is this becoming a habit? No, this is me realizing what is really important in life, and wall street, the bankers, the lenders, the oil industry, and the politicians ain't got nothing to do with it!
This was not written by me, but is exactly how I live and feel, almost scary how much this is my world!

Today is cancer check day for me, not a fun thing at all. So I will give my PSA on sun protection. My cancer (melanoma) was on my back, where "the sun don't shine". You wouldn't think those rays would go right through your shirt but they do. Is sun screen the answer? Probably not, putting that crap on daily, sometimes multiple times daily, is a major bitch! It gets in your eyes, ruins your clothes and costs 12 bucks for 3 oz's which only lasts one or two weeks. What about the top of your head? Your eyes? Everything under your clothing? Now they say you NEED sunlight for vitamin D, which oddly enough is what protects you FROM cancer! And what of the chemicals in those sun screens, which are absorbed into your skin then lymphatic system, that can't possibly be good for you! We truly live in the dark ages as far as medical knowledge goes! So as far as my PSA goes, and most especially if your fair skinned and blond, stay outta the sun, wear wide brimmed hats, SPF rated shirts and cross your fingers!

Now off to the U of M derm clinic I go (which I thank my lucky stars is THE best in the world!), to be examined, while totaly nude, by two teams of two top dermatologists (no room for modesty here let me tell you!). Then hope like mad they don't find anything, or hope like mad if they do, it's only a basal cell carcinoma vs melanoma, of which the cure is a simple barbaric slashing off a chunk of flesh. OK enough babbling I'm just kinda shell shocked over all this so I needed to vent. I don't want any sympathy, or pats on the back, I only want to help others avoid this situation, now back to suicidal animals......

Nice posting Miter, and good luck.

Liked the post above as well, i just ate a whole chocolate orange, i know the feeling you're on about, shell i shoot the dear or shan't i , shell i buy the chocolate orange or not.

Man loves to be in control and as you pointed out or whoever wrote above, sometimes you get the feeling that actually i'm being controlled by others and it's time to change seats so to speak. I've got that feeling right now.

peace my man

Chuck talk of the midievel warmth??? That was the mini iceage, after which it was normal not warm.
We're talking about the temp going up, when in history did that happen? The last ice age was 13-15 K yrs ago.
I think we need to deal with GCC, cause it will suck big time if it's true and we don't.
