I kind of figured Moscow would have changed over the years, what with the collapse of the Old Guard and all, and the city changing as a result....but this?
Aren't we looking at a potentially serious health hazard here? What happens if one (or some) of these dogs are inflicted with a sudden outbreak of disease (rabies, or whatever). What then? A mass culling? People getting infected or bitten? And if this were happen, what about if it was a child that was attacked and injured (or worse)? Even on the streets of Toronto, you'll see the odd stray dog or cat....but on THIS scale? Where they're riding the subways?? Or is it simply the authorities not giving a shit? Either way, I get the nagging feeling that this is asking for trouble. SERIOUS trouble.
I have to wonder what's in these Russkies' heads sometimes.
in the far east most of these dogs would become meat in a chopsewy dinner dish. when you order a meat dish you could be eating rat, pigeon ,cat dog or pig . they don't have an SPCA.
Actually it is correct. My best freind from college was sent to China with a major US tech firm, he spent 3 months out there and told me all about it. He noted they use dog, cat, anything INCLUDING rat meat.
So, while this may offend you or your race(which cracks me up you defend it considering it is a cultural barb), it is very true and actually understated.
It would have been hilarious to see people stepping in all the dog sh*t. You know it's there, they just didn't want to show it. Piles & piles of sh*t everywhere...
