Ok Riz, I'm going to have to look that song up, now I want to hear it. You say Bruce Willis sings it? I'm so behind on music of any kind. Haven't listened to it all that much lately, and didn't pay real attention before that. All I can really say is I like a good song you can dance to.
Just as an interesting little side note, I kind of lost my enthusiasm for listening to music very much a while ago. Martina McBride would probably be crushed to hear it, but it was her song "Concrete Angel". I was just flipping along watching TV one day, and saw that music video. I was like, Come ON, isn't music supposed to make you feel GOOD? Not tear your heart out?
Oh well, I still like good old classic Rock, like to hear that sometimes, and Blues.

Omg, Free!! I won't listen to Martina Mcbride because of that song. I can't take it! It hits too close to home, but to beautify child abuse, which for me, that song does, is hideous and callous. Remember the song "My name is Luka"? At least it sounded like she may have had her nose smashed by her father or been beaten with the cord from the kitchen mixer by her mother. And worse. I wish Martina's song would have never been played within earshot of me.

Hi Everybody, and thanks for the Birthday Happies! I'm up early this morning, just a little fuzzy headed. Can't sleep long even when I drink more wine than I should. Had a good time though. I was quite the little social butterfly! It's nice to be out on your birthday! I was good though, and was home pretty early. Don't remember what time it was, but not too late. Then I talked to a friend on the phone awhile, laughed til my face hurt.

FTB - Happy birthday (although belated). I personally think recognition of birthdays should be impolite past 30 years of age. I'm now over 1/2 century old and starting to feel over 1/2 century old.
On a similar point about this video. It is about as accurate a prediction of the future as aching joints are about the weather. I was at some vision of the future in Montreal back in the 70's, and it was WAY off the mark.
For you younger people, I will offer up some advise about the future. It is not anything you can plan for, no will it be what you expect it to be. If this video had been made 25 years ago it would not have mentioned personal computers, or the internet in it's prediction at all. There are always those who are impatient for change (usually the young), and those who oppose it (usually the old), so change happens when the older generations die off, and at the pace that the entrenched power held by them is released.
If a PC becomes as intelligent as the entire human race, then what questions would you ask it, and what questions would it have for you?
LOL - If is is a smart as all of humanity, I suppose it would have all the same perversions as well, so we would have to talk to it when it wasn't watching all the worlds porn.
I can see the video of the many uses for those laptops now. Hmmm -Laptop used for grinding grain. -Laptop used for interior lighting. -Laptop used for pressing tortillas. -Laptop communication speed cocaine sales and delivery. -Laptop used on tip of plow in rice patty. Improved harvest expected. -Laptop used as body armor.
I wonder what other uses will be found? Perhaps even some learning about the huge amount of porn available.
But it may be a good thing for some, and help in some way that only those environments can determine.
Chuck I think the point is to keep the second half ahead. There will be NO catching up, most will be lost, those in simple envor, they will be the only happy people on earth, the rest of us will play but not win the catch-up game.
