im really sorry to say but this show is not fake. its real. and personally i hate this show because all they are doing is pitting a person's family and personal life, against their greed, and of couse greed will always when. THIS IS A STUPID SHOW AND IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF THE AIR RIGHT NOW. the worst part is that people are entertained by this shit.
also, deal or no deal should be taken off the air because it pits people's greed with their ignorance of statistical probability and estimated value.... or maybe, people are just stupid and deserve what they get for going on stupid game shows. thank god the writer's strike is over...

Aussie101 - This show originated in South America. It then came to the U.S. It isn't a matter of where it started it is a human condition. Regardless of race or nationality. It is indeed pathetic and COMPLETELY STAGED. They do casting calls looking for specific individuals who are in circumstances like this who are then willing to have it aired in public for money. Yes Pathetic.
I think Aussie101 needs to come visit us here in the good ole USA and see that we are all very different from one another and some of us are actually nice people who would never dream of behaving in this manner. Don't be putting everyone into the same bag because of where they live--that's the cause of most of the trouble on this planet: stereotyping.

I agree this show is true.. but, why would you marry someone in the first place if you still had strong feelings like that for somone else, and as for sex with someone other then the husband. i mean come on.. most people have had more then one partner
Have never watched this show, but certainly have heard about it (as one hears about plane crashes). There's a show on daily, Jerry Springer, that seems to feature fat whores and shaved-headed dolts, each cheating on one another and being presented with the persons their partners are cheating with. How delightful, eh? The show is equipped with linebacker types who regularly intervene between the combative participants, who regularly attack each other.
National Geographic, this isn't. Sick, it is.
We have premium cable...all sorts of channels...so we can keep our 10 foot pole handy when this garbage arises. Our preferences, beyond New England sport shows, are History channel, National Geographic, Discovery, and the movie channels. Not to say others don't get watched...but NEVER the Springer deal, nor the "moment of truth" (I think that's what this video is showing - have never watched it), nor any of those base trash shows.
Oh yeah...the food channel is big in my house....the wife is a superb cook, and I am a superb appreciator...a match made in heaven (or the kitchen, which is close to the same thing).
I saw a news segment on this before the show came out. They are tested before the appearance, and asked hundreds of these questions, and the results are then given on the show.
Her husband is a dick for putting her on the spot, the crowd are assholes for cheering her on and the lady is only the one who didn't want to do this. What is the lady gonna do? Say no, get called out for it and lose 100k and her marriage? or Say yes, get 100k and lose the marriage?
This show is a shit-stirrer. Furthermore, it's nature is to be intentionally malicious and humiliating for the entertainment of others. The physical form of punishment equivalent to this would be public floggings.
Secondly, the use of the polygraph is inaccurate at best. At any point of the show, they can just say they lied when they haven't, and the truth of the matter can never really be proven one way or the other. This show is rigged, and it's only there to tear apart families and show the worst in people.

Why is it that we have such outrage against honesty at is purest form when the foundation of our country is based on a religion that screams "Honesty" into the bowels of the night.
This show solicits a typical human response, ones need for self preservation, and challenge that response forcing them to push their own limits. This is psychological if anything and here is the best part... we all act as if this is so far beyond each of us.
Accept it as human nature and learn from their mistakes, this world is not predominantly made up of good people but is comprised of humans who have the need to BE "good" based on intrinsic and extrinsic forces that we cannot resist.

I agree and I believe that your examples speak to what I am saying. Good and bad are social constraints based on a majority rule. This does not make it right or sound. In point of fact those people who set the rules of good and bad are often the people breaking those rules.
This sets us up for failure, we are told to resist our natural urges to take the things that we want. This tactic to lead us away from chaos is an admittance that truly good and holistic people are in the sparse minority. To hide those urges we lie, but while we are lying we are telling each other to be honest.
This creates a duplicitous existence and leaves us in turmoil, ie holocaust, Heroshima, 9/11. The human condition is such that we are animals and the religious movement is such that we cleanse the feeling of being an animal attempting to further separate ourselves from the ensuing chaos.
what a bitch... i can't believe she did that! I hate this show... it's absolutely horrible and i don't know how the host can live with himself knowing that he plays a part in ruining lives.
This woman was deliberately humiliated on national TV. However, since she set herself up for it, I can't feel TOO sorry for her. I've never seen or heard of this show before, I don't watch a lot of "mainstream" TV, or any TV except History Channel sometimes, Discovery, National Geographic, sometimes Comedy central, I'll zip around and see what's on if I sit down in front of the tube. But shows like this don't interest me at all. I've always felt that TV, like music, should be entertaining or interesting, mostly for the reason to enjoy it, or make you "feel good". Isn't that the whole point? Why do people want to watch things, or listen to things, that make them feel "bad"? Don't we have enough REAL things to make us feel bad? And shouldn't our off time be more focused on helping us cope with bad things? Take time to relax and enjoy our lives? Feel good about ourselves, and others? Am I alone here, thinking like this?
Anyway, about the vid, it makes me feel bad. Not that she made mistakes in her life, not that she isn't perfect. But that she chose to air those mistakes and imperfections in front of millions of people, and that doing so was profitable enough to make it a worthwhile endeavor, to everyone but her. I'm not calling her crap, but the entire premise of that show is crap.
Fake, how can a machine tell you that you 'dont think you're a good person'? It's obvious that this lie-detector is hinged on controversial answers.. If you answer any dark, controversial answer with a non-controversial answer the stupid femail voice will say "That Answer Is False".
I would never believe my wife meant everything she said on a show like this.. i'd just tell her to try to beat the machine and win as much money as possible. It's just a machine! It's not God, people!
Well I must say that no one forced her to go on this show...I also think that the questions were set up by the husband (maybe) because that they were directed towards her husband and her married life more than anything...My feelings are mixed about this episode. I feel sorry for the host having to do something so uncomfortable. I want to know the aftermath. Prolly worse than the show.
