Looks like a sped up version of a ride I did a while ago. The rotation speed looks bad, though the effect inside is possibly not that bad. The major complaint I had with the old version of the ride was that the safety lock was made for people shorter than I am, it did reall hurt to ride the thing.
lmao they clapped for themselves. I'd totally go on that thing though, just to say i did... Reminds me of an adaptation of a ride from roller coaster tycoon 1
People will try everything in an Amusement Park. And they do it proudly! Like it's some king of godly test..."YEAH I DID IT!"... I really got to sell my idea.. "ohh skull cracked with a baseball bat, sounds lovely. Does it come with bright colors?"
What a waste of time. Even one person puking in mid rotation at the top so that it would cover the camera would have been totally worth it.
Need to give someone a bit of syrup of ipecac so that not only would they puke but it would be done with such velocity you could add quite a few feet to the projectile distance.
omg wonder what G's they would have been pulling.. i'd be staying a couple hundred feet of that horizontal blender.. wonder how long it will take for that ride to be de-commisioned.. is that even healthy to be thrown around like that?
@stutz: You must confuse this with Guantanamo Bay. It's there where they do the Waterboarding. Also, there are even more thrilling experiences waiting for you at the Abu Ghraib(TM) theme park.
I was on this ride a few years ago - but only the "regular version" with 4 or 5 spins. Was enough for me. What these Germans pull off here is simply crazy...
we have this exact same ride in west mifflin PA. At Kennywood park, it's called the king kahuna and the only difference is that ours holds you upside down and squirtS water up at you.
They've had this thing at the florida state fair for at least the last 8 years. The speed of center is about accurate, but the outside moves a lot faster than in this video. Oh, and there is also a variation of this ride in which the outer arms don't stay aligned. :)
This, by the way, is Top Spin, one of the most popular thrill rides made by German manufacturer Huss since 1990. Huss is based here in my hometown of Bremen, and they are making even cooler things now which can be seen at their website, www.hussrides.com. There's also a video showing the Top Spin version involving water mentioned by someone above.
buztee, if that's real i would be the first one in line......at playland, in Vancouver, British Columbia, ....I have been privy to the ultimate ride....which, unfortunately, this one pales in comparison.....hard to describe the ride, but if you insist i will provide detail...(One tip I can give....at the highest point of the ride...they pause....and they pause....and they pause....then they shake the entire apparatus...it works the 1st time....very well.) re-reading what I posted does no justice to the ride....I'll try to find it on-line for ya....trust me....there is no better...luv Nik
