Maybe Glenn Beck needs to see your video called "Shift Happens". We live in a nation of sheep. We don't encourage thinking. Read, "Lies My Teacher Told Me". I got in big trouble for using it in my social studies classroom. I do think people are to lazy to think, reason, and turn to another station/channel.

Glenn Beck is the most useless person on television. Period. Woo Da F**k kares what that racist, homophobic, right-wing, Iraq-War apologist no talent has to say? Only the non-thinking sheep cbee mentions.
Personal responsibility is a frightening idea. I understand why you hate him... but wait... Glenn Beck is PROMOTING free speech... and YOU are calling him names? So, are YOU a communist and want free speech shut down? In that case, why are you speaking your mind? I get it, you flipped when he called you a wishy-washy pansy. In a language you understand: DUH.
I heard the so-called skit which got them fired and this has nothing to do with free speech. They were outright racist arseholes trying really hard to be funny. Maybe if they were funnier they may have gotten away with it but it was just sad.
racist speech is still covered under free speech...I don't care what people say, If I disagree I can either debate them or not listen to them....if they start to ACT upon their racist remarks THEN you can file charges. There is either free speech or not, you can't pick and choose what people are allowed to say.
A lot of good things wer said in this video, especially as I am a huge JV & Elvis fan and thought their firing was ridiculous. That said, it would have been nice to have someone with a contrary opinion on the show instead of 3 people who all agree. I support the side that was represented here but it's pretty damn easy to make your point when there's no one to tell you you're wrong.
I really used to hate GB as well, but the more I listen to him, I find I'm often in agreement with him...I still don't like him much, but I have to say that he has more common sense than most of the Right Wing talking heads, and unlike guys like Hannity actually lets guests that he disagrees with answer questions that he asks without calling them names like some second grader. So yeah...like him? not really, but I have more respect for him as an interviewer than I do for most.
Contrary to popular belief, no where in the US's bill of rights does it state that you have the right to never be offended. You have the right to free speech, just like every other legal citizen here...being that there are a lot of ignorant, racist, bigoted people here, you're bound to be offended once in a while...deal with it, and be happy you're able to spout your BS and not be dragged off to jail.
