Conchita caught me out many ein time vith her fiendish kitchen antics.
"Herr Vanker," she vould say in zat little girlie Latina voice of hers. "Vill you not try von of my lovely little fairy cakes before you go out?"
Of course, I alvays fell for her cunning ruse, forgetting ze vise vords of mein darlink mutter - "Never take food in ein vitch's house, Adolf."
An hour after eating Conchita's cakes, I vould suddenly start vith ze uncontrollable laughing, vich vos kvite embarrassing at funerals und meetings of ze South American Armadillo Breeders Society.
On von memorable occasion, I vos holding ein cord at ein funeral as ze coffin vos being lowered into ze grave. Vithout varning, I suddenly burst into ein light-hearted rendition of ze Beatles' greatest song "Obladi Oblada".
Ze priest did not see ze funny side of zis, und I vos banned from ze Buenos Aires public cemetery for life.
28 years ago, when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I searched for something to help me with the constant leg cramps. I found a book written by a professor from the University of Washington named Roger Roffman called Marajuana as Medicine.... he explains how to make these Brownies. Seems you need to saute the herb (about 1 oz.) in butter(1 lb.) THEN incorporate the butter into the batter...Martha has'nt read up on this... or maybe it was just a time constraint in the production of this.... but she does have a sense of humor. Cute video!
