Well....once again I was initially duped. Pretty cool to go from 'I don't want to see this' to 'ha,ha,ha,ha". Kinda a weird rush for me. Is that bad, or just human nature?
If that had been real it would have been a hillarious stunt. Taking down a land aircraft on water is extremely tricky and the way this one touched the water it would have sommersaulted and broken apart.
There was such an emergency watering of a jetliner a couple years ago, the plane came in parallel to the beach, touched water, dove in with the nose and sommersaulted. Unless practiced in the simulator many times a pilot should not try this.
