Yeah, but what's a stereotype. Oh yeah..... that's something that some guy made up in his garage while smokin a doobie and gettin hamcocked. No, actually, I'd venture to say it's like 78.8% accurate. In other words most cases of stereotypes by a significant majority are true. Thus, leading the average individual to feel a certain way toward a situation or individual.
shallowground the reason I wrote "stereotype" is cause thats what we expect when we think of a pedophile but the sad truth is that they come from all walks of life lawyers, politicians, police etc.
It would be very naive for any parent to trust a man because they do NOT look like a pedophile.
Are you trying to make a conversation run in circles? I didn't say that there's a slim chance of an individual being a pedophile if they don't look like the guy in the video. What I was saying is quite simple, there's a better chance of the guy being a freak if the guy looks like the guy in the video. (Amazing where someone can twist a story.... I don't have the time to tie up every loose end to a topic. I'd be here all day, and someone can still find a loop hole. Besides... didn't think I could cause such a ruckus by a simple statement.... sheeesh). BTW. FYI. My name is Matt. :)
Uhhhh, hmmmmm, errrrrrr.........alrighty then, here goes....by the way, it's a white van with painted windows. Everybody knows that. When I was twelve (I thought I was younger but I did the math, I had just moved to North Delta) I watched a white van follow a young girl for a couple of blocks. I know because I followed and watched (I thought I was being stupid and paranoid). Then I got scared. Instead of following I ran home. I still figured I was stupid and paranoid. Ended up calling the police anyhow. They came and they got him.
