Tomorrow night, after the glorious victory of President-elect B. Obama......everyone's invited to my place, for some cabbage rolls and hot coffee....to be followed by copious quantities of high-alcohol-content Canuck beer for dessert.

And we shall tell tales of our victory and mock the vanquished. The Old Order will be swept away.....and cleansed. A new Day will dawn after our long night of celebration, and the sun will rise upon a diminished, once-filled-with-zealots landscape.

Plus........

I shall play all of my 8-track (and yes....vinyl) 70's disco music....allllllll night loooooong.

You know playing that 70's music is a great idea canuck because if Obama wins, we'll all be bringing home about as much money as we did in the 70's. Well, those of us who pay taxes that is. Those who sit on their asses collecting welfare and having more kids so they can collect MORE welfare will really be doing the celebrating.

Now that I've got you here....here is your regular "surge "success" update:

"Updated at 11:27 p.m. EST, Nov. 3, 2008

At least 23 Iraqis were killed and 58 more were wounded during a spate of attacks in Baghdad and elsewhere. One U.S. soldier died at Qayyarah AFB from non-combat related injuries. In Parliament, A measure insuring minority participation in provincial councils was passed; however, several lawmakers complained that not enough seats were set aside.

A deputy oil minister and his driver were wounded when a roadside bomb blasted their convoy outside the minister's home in Utifiyah. A roadside bomb wounded three people on Palestine Street. Two people were wounded during a bombing in west Baghdad. In Zayouna, a bomb planted on a car wounded the driver and a passerby. In Raghiba Khatoon, a bomb wounded six people. Gunmen killed a man in Zaafaraniyah. One body was found in Habibiya.

"There's that good ol' look-out-for-number-one mentality that we've all come to know and love. "
No, Streamo is talking about the American dream, maybe they don't have that in Canada? That's the ability to work hard to earn money, and then spend that money as you see fit, not supporting the people too lazy to work as hard as you. There is nothing in the US constitution about keeping your brother, its really all about individual rights, including the right to be a poor lazy bastard, but not the right to take your brothers money. We're sorta against that whole Stalinist socialist mentality that you clealy support. The American way is about rule of law, fairness (including taxation), giving a helping hand to those suffering hardships, but not a hand out.

As for your Iraq update, I just read last week that US troop deaths are at an all time low, and more marines are dying from motorcycle accidents than in combat. As for Iraqi deaths, well since you want the US to leave and let Iraq fall into civil war and terrorism, you must not really care about Iraqi deaths.

But now how much of what you're reporting is just normal criminal activity? You lump every act as pointing to the failure of the surge. Yet Obama wants to start a surge in Afghanistan, which he wouldn't do if it so clearly failed in Iraq, unless he was a dumbass. So again, is Obama basically admitting the surge worked and you're wrong, or is Obama a dumbass?
Um, HD, I think both of those statements would be true, but really, is McCain better?

I'm not saying he's worse...just different. Grape flavored shit vs. Cherry flavored shit.
You're a mental case.

1. Whatever skewed interpretation you possess about "The American Dream" is....just that: skewed. All you do is what nutobs like yourself usually do: fall back into dumb labels, "i.e. "socialism", "marxism", "leftist"....and blah-be-dee-fuckin'-blah-blah. Tonight, a majority of your countrymen are finally going to decide that the way things have been run for the past eight years is, well, basically...shit. And today....is Get Right Day. So live with it. And according to what you religious-zealot buddy states, he HAS reduced your "American Dream" to a Look-Out-For-Number-One view. And if THAT'S what YOU and HE think this "Dream" is....then all the power to you both. Just keep that shit to yourself. I get by jjust fine without your definition of "The American Dream", as do most other nations. Besides, I guess considering what your mythical figure of Christ stood for, I guess He'd be a "socialist" by your definition....wouldn't he? Didn't fucking think of THAT....did ya?

2. So as long as AMERICAN deaths in Iraq are low....then the surge is a "success".....right? Iraqis die by the loads every day of every week, but that's okay....right? That means the surge is a "success"....right? You're an idiot. Go back to your hole.

3. Obama has said from DAY ONE, that all resources should have gone to Afghanistan and not IRAQ. Since this is what did happen, Georgie-Boy let OBL get away; the Taliban have re-grouped and are flourishing; and Al-Queada has managed to get its act together. And now...you're criticizing Obama for wanting a "surge" in Afghanistan??? Do me a favour will ya? Just stfu.

So...in conclusion....you support "borderline" torture-techiniques; you don't care about any deaths in Iraq, as long as they're not "American" deaths (even though its Georgie-Boy that caused this shit); you believe in a Look-Out-For-Number-One mentality.

Okay.

I get it.

Now buzz off.

Oh golly, HD and Stream-O!! LOOK! Yet ANOTHER "surge success" story, where no GI's are dying (just a bunch of useless Eye-Rakkis):

"Updated at 2:53 p.m. EST, Nov. 4, 2008

A spate of bombings greeted Baghdadis today as U.S. soldiers there await results in the U.S. presidential election. Overall, at least 36 Iraqis were killed and another 69 were wounded across the country, but the lion's share of injuries was reported in the capital. No Coalition deaths were reported, but many soldiers celebrated election day by becoming U.S. citizens. Also, a Sunni politician suggested letting the public vote on a controversial U.S.-Iraqi security pact.

In Baghdad, 11 people were killed and 21 more were wounded when a bomb was detonated in a Mashtal neighborhood garage. A bomb targeting a convoy carrying Ahmed al-Barak killed one person and wounded nine more in Karrada; Barak, who was a member of the interim Iraqi Governing Council that was set up following the 2003 invasion and is now a committee leader, was not injured. A second bomb in the Karrada district killed one person and wounded five more, while a third bomb killed a police chief and wounded two of his children. In Ghadir, gunmen killed a policeman and wounded three others. A bomb at a Qahira marketplace killed four and wounded ten more. Gunmen killed an army officer on Qanat Street. No casualties were reported after a bombing in Andalus Square.

Gunmen in Sadr City killed one bystander and wounded three others during a shootout with police near memorial festivities.

In Mosul, five civilians were wounded in a bombing in a northern neighborhood. A suicide bomber injured four policemen in the Mansour neighborhood. Gunmen killed a man and wounded his two brothers in Tahrir. An off-duty policeman was injured during a small arms attack, while another was shot dead. Two civilians were killed in separate drive-by shootings. A roadside bomb in Qadisiyah killed one civilian and wounded a second one. A roadside bomb wounded an Iraqi soldier. Twenty wanted suspects were captured. Also, two dumped bodies were found.

A woman and two children were killed when mortars struck their home in Madaen.

Two Iraqi civilians were killed and two more were wounded in Tikrit during a traffic accident involving U.S. military vehicles. A Hummer struck the victims as they were hanging a commercial sign.

Two bodies were found in al-Sehaji.

A suspected "special groups" leader was arrested near Hilla. "Special groups" refers to Iran supported militia.

A curfew was briefly enforced in Tal Afar while police looked for a car bomb.

In Kirkuk, a bomb near a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) office left no casualties. Six missile launching pads were dismantled.

Four wanted suspects were captured in Biaaj.

Thirty suspects were detained north of Baquba in Adhaim.

In Basra, four suspects were arrested.

A suspect was arrested in connection with yesterday's bombing in Baquba."

Whoa.

What a relief.

For a second there, I thought something may have been amiss, and I was maybe in Chicago.

Whew!!

"Grape flavored shit vs. Cherry flavored shit."
That's funny!

Canuck, I don't fall back on labels, you have to earn them from me.

Nobody said the past 8 years went perfectly, the only discussion is which shit takes better, Obama's or McCain's. But both will be a refreshing new shit flavor, compared to Bush.

The American dream is about all of us becoming prosperous and improving our lives, but its not the governments responsibility to enforce some wealth redistribution, only keep the playing field fair by enforcing the laws. And its not our fault is some Americans don't work hard enough to fulfill the American dream for themselves. The American dream is an opportunity, a goal, but its certainly not a right.

"Besides, I guess considering what your mythical figure of Christ stood for"
When did I ever express belief in God or JC? This is proof you don't read and comprehend a damn thing I write.

"So as long as AMERICAN deaths in Iraq are low....then the surge is a "success".....right? "
Well by military standards, the current death rate among military troops is outstanding, and dropping every day. We lost more troops on D-day, then we did in the entire Iraq war. Yet Iraqi deaths are also way down, some 80%. While every death is tragic, how is an 80% reduction in Iraqi civilian deaths not a success? You'll dispute my number, lets say its only 50% reduction, still a success? We have given the Iraqis a more peaceful opportunity to rebuild their nation and build a functioning democracy. Now its up to them. Both sides are planning on withdrawing troops from Iraq.

Its not ok for Iraqis to die. That's why we couldn't withdraw, and leave them in civil war, or under constant threat of terrorist attack. Don't you get that? Regardless of the whether it was right or wrong to invade Iraq, we're there now, how best do we unfuck the clusterfuck? Withdrawing last year would have been a genocidal castastrophe, now there is a chance for a peaceful withdrawal. That is a result of the surge, the Sunni awakening, and a few Iraqi political solutions.

Now if the surge was not a success, why does Obama plan a surge in Afghanistan? Are you ever gonna answer that simple question?

"Obama has said from DAY ONE, that all resources should have gone to Afghanistan and not IRAQ. "
Well that's very easy for him to say, since he wasn't in the US senate at the time to vote on invading Iraq. Hindsight is 20/20, and Barack didn't have to vote. Hillary supported invading Iraq though.

"Georgie-Boy let OBL get away"
When did I ever fail to criticize Bush for not letting US troops finish off Osama at Tora Bora?

"And now...you're criticizing Obama for wanting a "surge" in Afghanistan???"
No, I'm not criticizing Obama for this. I'm trying to get you to admit you're wrong. Obama knows the surge worked in Iraq, which is why he now wants to do the same in Afghanistan. I know the surge worked, why would I criticize Obama for wanting to surge in Afghanistan? You need to maybe read what I actually write, (already proven that you do not do) and not fill in the blanks of your misunderstanding with right-wing stereotypes so much.

"Gunmen killed a man and wounded his two brothers in Tahrir. An off-duty policeman was injured during a small arms attack, while another was shot dead. Two civilians were killed in separate drive-by shootings. Twenty wanted suspects were captured. Also, two dumped bodies were found. "

That part sounds like Chicago. But Chicago doesn't have so many heavy explosives lying around for all the bombings.

canucky miter,i have some muslims who work for me, they are not fanatics, just ordinary muslims .their beliefs are so different from us it is astounding.
One of them gave me a disc that i watched about the last decade , 911 was created by the cia so they could attack muslims. no jews died in the buildings [ i gave them the names of all the people that died including the jews] . jews control america. I showed them on line a story about the top american families out of 600 4 were jews . that went on and on about muslim babies are made sick by the usa .
Frankly i fired one one the spot because he was giving a filipino female staff member a very hard time . She was his supervisor and he would not take instruction from her . I made her go out and fire him. The other guy now doesn't say a word follows instructions to the T.
Anyway I hope your guy wins and they still keep NAFTA the way it is and don't make the borders harder to cross.
See?

Now THERE'S the point I've been making all along:

You had a guy who was working for you, but because of his religious/cultural beliefs, he let it interfere and/or otherwise influence how he did his job. And you were absolutely right to fire his ass.

So I ask again:

Why would anyone put up with that from ANYONE, even if they're the President of the United States?

If you let your own belief/cultural system affect/guide how you do your job, instead of just doing the damn job in a professional, impartial manner.....then you deserve to get tossed.

Swiftly.

Those Muslims working for you still believe their giberish, they just know to hide it now. They'll think surely you fired that Muslim because you're a Jew lover! I spent some time posting on Ummah.net. I know the conspiracy and religious extremism Muslims believe. You guys think Streamo and Palin are religious zealots? You don't know the true meaning of the word, until you've talked to guys willing to murder innocent civilians because they're Jews, Christians, or even Shiites. That God commands them to murder infidels. That Islam must spread to rule the world, and you either need to submit, pay dhimmi tax, or die. Some of the shit those guys say makes your blood run cold. And that's why that extremism needs to be fought by every means at our disposal. Militarily is not always the best weapon against extremism.

Democrat War Profiteers John Kerry & Joe Lieberman
by PAT SHANNAN (AMERICAN FREE PRESS)

(June 28, 2008)" A new study by a non-partisan research group shows that congressmen and senators stock holdings in various companies doing business with the Defense Department totals more than $196 million, earning them millions in profits individually since the start of the war in Iraq.

The Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics says that 2006 financial disclosure statements suggest that members holdings could pose a conflict of interest as they decide the fate of Iraq war spending.

Several members who earned the most from defense contractors have important committee or leadership assignments, including Democratic Sen. John Kerry, independent Sen. Joseph Lieberman and House Republican Whip Roy Blunt.

The study found that more Republicans than Democrats hold stock in defense companies, but that the Democrats who are invested had significantly more money at stake."

.... now how is that not a conflict of interest ????

Mako,

How do you know Obama is so much smarter than McCain? Because Obama is a better speaker? I don't think speaking skills are directly correlated to IQ. And mispronouncing nuclear can be an accent, not a lack of intelligence. I could mock Ted Kennedy's accent, that doesn't make him stupid.

Both parties of government spend entirely too much time telling us how to live. I don't see one side as any better in that regard. But it only bothers you if you're the one living differently than the government dictates. Myself, I'm not getting an abortion of marrying a guy anytime soon, but I do want to be able to afford energy, my taxes, my health care, and have a choice in the education of my kids.

Both clowns will drain our economy over the unproven "science" of global warming. In a time of war, I do prefer the guy with military and foreign policy experience. I voted for McCain this morning, but I live in Minnesota, which will almost certainly vote for Obama. I just don't see how you can get so worked up over one candidate that you have to personally attack someone just giving their opinion.

Thank God this election will finally end, I'm sick of hearing about both these guys. Either way, America will go on. The ideology pendulum swings back and forth in America, as it should. We don't want either side getting too entrenched. We don't want America swinging too far left or right.
