It seems to be the standard that the "conservative" do like freedom of speech only if it supports their opinion. Criticising any government action is high treason. They tend to be the same here in Germany but they don't get very far with this because of rather critical media that is not bowing to the power that be (at least not a majority of them).

They are named Slyrs and as of now sell a 3 year old (only available on site and only one bottle per person) that tastes promising, I am looking forward to their first regular 10 yo.
When you get the chance to get some scottish single malt give it a try. There are many different tastes, if you don't like it peaty stay away from the island whisky. Stuff from the Speyside is usually really full bodied and round, 15yo is usually an excellent age.

Actually a short while ago I saw a British documentary about von Richthofen, they claimed that he was shot from the ground. Since they had nobody in the hunt I would assume them to be neutral.

In Germany the government has started a dialogue with many islamic groups to get a better communication going. The majority of them were condemning the violence conducted by the extremists.
Islam is basically not any more violent than Christianity, both have problems with extremists, the Islam just more so since many of its home countries are in a desolate status which makes it easy for the violents to recruit suicide bombers.

When I was young and this weapon was developed, the neutron bomb was declared "immoral" by most of the world. The hydrogen bomb has no such designation, and is considered a "better and more moral" bomb, because the radiation lasts for a million years, and destroys everything.
Additional proof that most human beings are insane.
That's a VERY good point (not that I'm advocating a neutron strike on whole populations), but all I've heard in the last twenty- or twent-five years is nuclear weapons-this, or nuclear weapons-that.....but virtually NOTHING about the Neutron Bomb....even though the U.S.A.F. probably has a nice little stockpile of the suckers laying-at-the-ready.

Turn left at the big, gloomy tree just outside of Borgo Pass, and head into the Carpathians. When you get a small village, ask for the Old Man With The Garlic, Crosses and Booze. Tell'em where you're going, and he'll give you a bag with supplies, give you a blessing and send you on your way.
Start walking north out of the village until dusk, at which point a cloaked figure with blazing red eyes driving a rickety stagecoach will pick you up; he won't talk to you.....don't worry about it; just roll with it.
When he gets you to the Castle, go inside (pay no attention to the howling in the woods around the castle perimeter....those are just the children of the night).
See The Man (?) inside..........close the real estate deal.....and get your sorry ass outta there PDQ.

No plans to go to Romania. In Pest for three days at the Intercontinental (cookie cutter rooms, American-run), then to Lake Balaton for three days. 70 degrees just now. Shallow, hot water, ideal.
Went to Romania about five years ago. Pretty fuckin' depressing place to be honest. A bit like Albania, but with cars instead of ox carts. The people rank as the most unfriendly in the world, and the gypsies will steal your skin if you're sunbathing. They make the vampires look like Mother Theresa!

The last of the Kretsulescu family of which Vlad Tepes (The Impaler) was the most prominent (better known as Vlad III Draculea), did live near Berlin until he passed away about a year ago. He was the adopted son of the last lady of the bloodline.
It remains to be seen if his infant son will be allowed to keep name and title, the castle Dracula in Schenkendorf is currently for sale.
The first time I heard from this guy was on a vote card after I had moved from Berlin to Brandenburg (all of 2km distance...), he was a candidate with the free democrats (liberal party) listed as "Graf Dracula" (Count Dracula). At first I though this to be some joke (would have been more fitting to have a blood sucker with the conservatives...), but soon after found out that he actually had the right to use that name.
The last lady of the Kretsulecus did adopt him when he was an adult, she was some 80 years or so and she was looking for some way to keep her family name from dying with the blood line.
He bought a "castle" (more like a very beautiful villa) in Schenkendorf, which is just a few kilometers from my place. To finance his living style he was trying to exploit the name by giving tours to his castle and offering it for events as well as running some events himself. I was there for a medieval festival a few years ago. But he overdid it a bit and lost the castle about a year before he died.
When he passed away I thought that to be a pity, he was a colorful personality.
