Does that make me a socialist, a terrorist, or gasp a communist Senator McCarthy? Will I be added to a blacklist or a watchlist for being a American without a raised seal?
OH NO!!!! I only have a copy of mine and it has no raised seal either!!! OMG, I'm a terrorist!! Oh wait, all I have to do is go the Health Department and pay $10 to get another copy with a seal. Whew, I feel better.
Can we just start with him giving back the millions he received from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? That is change we would want...... Not to mention the money his closest advisors received....
And a fortune teller? He's pointing out the obvious. It's like a salesman saying " I know we're not the cheapest in town but......" he's foreshadowing what will be revealed about him so that the shock doesn't knock the liberals off their chairs when they learn who the real Obama is.
Yeah! When Obama makes Prez we're GONNA indict those war criminals SO FAST their pants are gonna fall OFF. Fuckin Cheney. He's RESPONSIBLE for EVERYTHING BAD in this world.
LMFAO!
Did I tell you I won a medal? Don't mess with the Canuck - I'M DECORATED goddamit.
Toronto. Awesome town. They even give medals to losers like me so we feel part of the SYSTEM, unlike that doozy Palin, she never gave a medal to NOBODY. Bitch! LMFAO.
Anyone seen my support pants? Gotta tough shift comin' up tonight in E-Wing and don't wanna be seen CRAPPIN myself in front of the inmates.
I did mention about the medal didn't I? You're dealing with a GODDAM Hero here ASSHOLES.
Sorry, Tweedles-dee, lost my old ID (couldn't remember the old password), besides I'm famous now..at least down here where you get paid for being smart. Stream rang me up to say you were still about and I should check on you, just to see if you'd plagiarized anymore of my quotes. Called anyone else a Terror-Symp, you big huggy-bear Terror-Symp. Seems you're still backing the fascist to overthrow the US constitution you proclaim such love for, while hiding behind the socialsim of Balless-UKWest. I also note, for those who don't know you, you still seem to be in that same dreary third shift issuing parking tickets or somesuch, Right? Cheers, MrChummin to you.
wondered how long it would take for you to respond with your normal hilarious banter.
you're really champing at the bit to get back in it aren't you?
So, how's the GWB-love bus running at the moment? Enjoying your little root for McInsane?
I say this in all honesty, you might actually be better to have around than the 4 year olds who frequented glumbert during the summer. I guess the operative word is 'might'
Have you given Mountainclimber any loving yet? You and she can set up a YMCA together and invite young republicans for tea.
IQ100-
good to be back. Thank you for welcoming me with your keen wit.
Not a fan of McCain or Bush, or, did you have a hard time with differentiating my support of our war efforts with an overall support of Bush?
We have an inexperienced, gross incompetent on the one side who has, at best, friendly relationships with criminals and a politically spineless middle of the roader on the other side.
What's a conservative to do? Well, it won't be whining about what other countries are doing. I will hold my nose and vote for McCain and not Hussein.
By omission, I suppose you would select otherwise. (I did say "politically spineless".) We can only select from the 2. Your beautiful command of logic continues to astound.
Criminals and terrorists are more your type. Oh, and socialists. Oh, and liars. Oh, and cowards.
Give that Che T-shirt a big hug from me.
IQ100- Your outrage over GWB far exceeded any outrage over Sadaam or Al Qaeda. Proven.
By omission from your comment you prefer Obama...a socialist. Proven.
Canuck: Routine liar. Proven.
This is the company you keep and your preferences...which was the assertion of my post.
McCain was born in Panama, while his father, a US Navy admiral, was stationed in Panama, serving his nation under orders. If that don't make you an American, than not sure I want to be one.
As for Obama's citizenship, I guess the case must not be too solid, or you'd hear more about it.
I meant by this comment, that the case / accusation for Obama not being a US citizen must not be too solid, or we'd be hearing real challenges from legal professionals.
You WOULD have made sense if you'd said right off the hop "That birth certificate issue is the lamest, stupidest thing I've ever heard! He's an American citizen like you and me", instead of "well....ummmm...gulp....ummm.....I haven't heard of any evidence to the contrary, and I haven't HEARD from any LEGAL PROFESSIONALS about it...soooo...it must not be true"
wow... that was... inspiring? No i think the word i was looking for is more along the lines of boring, glumbert has really gone downhill these past couple weeks...
Canuck...you can't possibly want to compare Obama to Jesus. That's the stuff of religion. You haaate religion and the zealots therein, right? And that don't belong in politics.
FYI:Jesus was most certainly NOT a community organizer. And if, by community organizer, you mean Obama has rallied around groups like ACORN...keep tooting that horn.
IQ100- coupla comments in and you have addressed nothing. Would you care to dance again or do you prefer to just name-call? (Hint-stick with name calling. Sand boxes are no place for idea exchanges. You big poo-poo head.)
C-student: Are you this angry all the time? I know that ignorance can be very, very frustrating especially when coupled with gross incompetence and a gambler's morals.
I recognize that to you and a very small number of people, Jesus is a mythical figure. I will (at least not on this thread) not attempt to prove Jesus' existence as that would be fruitless to you.
However, I would like to point out ad nauseum et ad absurdum your biblically (sorry) proportioned capacity for hypocricy. See if I have it: Religion the American Right = Keep government safe from these wackos! Religion anyone on the Left = Hallelujah! Pour the Kool-Aid!
That about sums up your intellectual stake in these threads.
Finally...I know that you must characterize those with whom you disagree as monolithical Republicans, etc. But, as I explained repeatedly to you (and you chose to ignore because it unsettles your tenuously balanced worldview) that I am not a Republican. I am a Christian and then a conservative. The current batch of Republicans do not speak for me, save a few. McCain most definitely does not, nor does GWB.
Have good evening getting smarter. Tighten up that tinfoil hat, would ya?
According to the B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth), "Jesus" existed.
That's all you got, Sport.
Period.
I, on the other hand, CAN prove Sen. Obama exists. If he suddenly passed away tomorrow (an ugly possibility, given how many religious, fanatical nutjobs are around these days)......I can STILL prove he existed.
I'd say that about leaves you at a clear disadvantage.
Savvy?
And you suddenly-disavowed REPUBLICANS make laugh; it's kinda like rats fleeing a sinking ship.
Other than that.....good to see you haven't changed a bit.
"...the republicans do not speak for me...McCain most definitely does not"
And yet Streamy-wailer you happily say you will continue to vote for them?
Rather stupid no?
By the way, countering with a "yeah but obama's a nasty man and everyone who votes democrat is a liberal, socialist pansy" gets you no points for intelligent critique of where your sort of support has gotten the nation...
When did Moe, Larry and Curly get dumber?! I leave for a few months and C-Student, Buggery and IQ100 diminish in the ability to argue...not that it was ever keen to begin.
Honestly, the evidence for Jesus' life through contemporary writings and historical documents is vastly greater in amount and quality than those of Homer! I get it, Canucklehead, you hate God and rationalize it through denial that He even exists. But really...saying he's a mythical figure.
Then, follow it up with Buggered who suggests that the vast majority of people believe the same way. No they don't. Muslims believe he exist(ed) along with all of Christianity and Judaism...oh, and many agnostics and atheists who, at the very least, don't deny His historical reality. That leaves Buddhists and Hindus who, I am not aware, deny His reality as human.
That leaves me with the amoral Mako, who is my most-loved. Illiterate and illogical Mako.
We have here in the States a bit of a quandry: as in all elections there is an element of "lesser of two evils" that plays into the vote. This one is by far one of our worst yet. I do not happily cast my vote for McCain. But, given the alternative with a socialist, radical leftie, psycho-church member, criminal pal, ACORN defender and (gasp) A SMOKER...I will plug my nares and vote McCain. BTW--the stuff you put in quotes, I did not say.
I am not even in the mood to discuss with you streamlined, it is useless since you don't understand the arguments.
Much of humanity has never heard of your Jesus. You christians overrate your position in the world grossly. Actually most people would not care about you guys if you were not so obnoxious as to stick your puny religion into everybodys face.
I wish you fun with president Obama. Might be that he will do some good things for your country even though you will not like it.
Buggered- I still love you and your wunderbar kraut und wurst. By the way, how is it living in a culture and society that is the beneficiery of Christian principles and norms? You are the beneficiery, Buggered.
What is it about Jesus that you hate? What principle in Christianity you disapprove?
IQ100...still struggling with reading, I see. That was not the question.
I certainly am not the best torch-bearer for Jesus. As Aquinas famously asserted (and I paraphrase),"Lord forgive me for what I am about to do."
But, in an effort to get a cute little school boy dig in, you did not answer the question. I am guessing you really aren't very far off Buggered's position.
All three of your questions were answered fairly economically I thought. Here, read this slowly and see...
Q: How is it living in a culture and society that is the beneficiery of Christian principles and norms?
A: Fine, apart from the dimwits who self appoint themselves as loud and over bearing representatives of faith. In short, idiots like you stream...
Q: What is it about Jesus that you hate?
A: The dimwits who self appoint themselves as loud and over bearing representatives of faith. In short, idiots like you stream...
Q: What principle in Christianity you disapprove?
A: The dimwits who self appoint themselves as loud and over bearing representatives of faith. In short, idiots like you stream...
Illiterate one: I asked about Jesus. Not what is disliked about me.
Proving your bigotry again, by the way.
If you asked me what I disliked about Buggered and I said, "skinheads"...you might assume I thought the same of him; that would make me a non-thinking bigot, because that says nothing about Buggered.
Quit being so evasive. Your previous answers do not touch on anything I asked about.
Here are my questions: What is it about Jesus that you hate? What principle in Christianity you disapprove? (Not directed at you,by the way.)
Finally, after much tooth pulling, you say you hate nothing about Jesus, (which I believe is a lie) just people like me, presumably in part, because we do believe the tales. I noticed you ignore the second question.
I also notice that your answer puts you in stark contrast to Cminus who says Jesus' was a mythical figure. So, from your answer: Jesus is real enough, just that what people said about him is malarky. Whereas, Cminus says he did not exist at all, but is a composite of other religious figures. You tow have some 'splaining to do.
May want to read about Jesus in the Bible first and see what it actually says. Do this before showing enormous ignorance about that which you disagree or dispute.
I know it irks you so not to be taken in any way seriously. So I shall continue to think of you as a joke...
Whether I or C have the same views on your little porcelain figure of faith is irrelevant frankly. The object of ridicule here is actually YOU not the dead guy.
Like I said (and you erroneously think it a lie), what could I dislike about a dead jewish guy who passed away thousands of years ago and obviously made enough headlines at the time to have some fiction written in his honour? Nothing, he's harmless. He's dead. Whether he actually existed or not is moot.
However YOU are here to proclaim your greatness, superiority and a 6000 year old earth. THAT is what needs dealing with, and is why I refuse to take anything you say seriously.
Capiche?
Clearly you possess nothing else of note to discuss except those desires to continue illegally warring in Iraq, preventing mothers from making their own choices, and part-time teaching track and field
C'mon my 'lil Palin teat-chewer, smell the (Obama-shaded) coffee
That is as much as I expected from streamy: He can not even recognize an answer when he gets it slapped into his face several times.
Streamy, get it into your way too little brain: There are a lot of people who give a shit about religion and who simply don't put any significance on your fictional characters you pray to. Then there are a lot of people who have a totally different religion than yours (not that it is any better worse, it is just different bullshit) and many of them have never even heard of your messiah.
I was born in Germany and along with all other europeans, I wish that Barak Obama will win the votes. Have you got any Idea how badly damaged the image of america is here? We got crappy politicians as well, but we donīt need a change of perspactive that much, as america does. My mom is American, and i was raised american. My heart is with my friends in the states and the rest of the country.
My lame-ass imposter above (without realizing it, of course----but what else can you expect from a frightened simpleton?) brought up an interesting point:
We here in the West have always claimed the moral high-ground in the epic conflict known as WWII; on many levels, I would say this was justified.
However.......in SOME instances......I'm not as sure.
Exactly how many civilians (i.e. women and children) were massacred, and died terrifying deaths by being roasted alive in a firestorm in Dresden......thanks to the United States Army Air Corps....the Royal Air Force......The Royal Canadian Air Force.....etc.?
Oh yeah.....that was OUR greatest moment of glory (insert sarcasm here).
Fuck sakes.
I guess hypocracy truly does NOT know borders.......or nationalities.
Dresden shows how easy it is to step over the line of justified self defense to atrocity. There was nothing of military significance in Dresden at that time, it was a purely psychological attack.
In other places it was necessary to do ongoing carpet bombing. Otherwise Germany might have managed to outproduce and outthink the allies. If you look at the inventions that were brought online in short intervals it is frightening.
Had the infrastructure for turbine steel and fuel not been sufficiently damaged, Germany might have managed to get thousands of Me262 figthers into the air and followed them up with even better fighters (i.e. Horten Ho IX).
McCain wins with his poopsy VP , America is dooooooomed .Unfortunately you will take down all your Canadian friends to. TO BAD VOTE AGAINST POOOOPY SHE IS A NUT JOB AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY INTEGRITY.
Canuck 1963: Well we can only guess that your on night shift down at the mall. My god man wern't you people having a federal election yesterday, and yet here you are wasting your taxpayers money hacking away at American politics.
On that note, noticed you people re-elected Stephen Harper. Great! Now maybe he will follow his heart and join us in Iraq.
Don't count on it.
Although I hear their health care system is second only to Cuba in efficiency and care. Just recently one of the founding fathers of the Canadian model said how wonderful...no, wait...I got that part wrong. He said it didn't quite work out like he planned.
Maybe if we try it here in the good ol' US of A it will work.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Red I hope we will never be so stupid as to follow your troops into the quagmire of blood , gore and $$$$$$ for the bush buddies.
WE hope you pull your brave soldiers out and repatriate them as heroes that they are.
LET THE IRAQUIS KILL EACH OTHER NO ONE CARES IN THE REST OF THE NON MUSLIM WORLD![and insome of the muslim countries like Turkey, I was there this year ]
As to our health care all the $,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$ saved on your soldiers in Iraqi if they leave will pay for the best free health care, schools, highways ,sports facilities in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.
Cman...please do some math.
You actually said that money spent would pay for free health care. How does that work exactly? Why, it can't be free if it costs money.
Noticed you didn't counter my argument.
Illegal war. How many times do you have to be smacked with that crap? Keep blowing that horn, IQ. I'm sure the brave Dems who hold that same opinion will buck up, grow a spine and prosecute...along with the rock-ribbed at the Hague.
I know on your side of the argument, war kills people and that is the reason you oppose it. The folks on your side find war and capital punishment hard to stomach because it takes a human life. But, abortion...that's just a choice.
IQ100, my man...you are struggling.
Illegal war? Prove it. I remember how you and C-minus tried to use the Constitution and how that worked for ya. Want to go there again? Doubt it.
Killing babies is defensible, but not brutal dictators. How do you defend that again, I forgot. We've been down this road, as well, BigM. I always start form the position that you cannot have morals when you have no source for them. Just adjust them to the situation, right? Kill a baby, why not? I just choose not to be burdened with that mass of tissue. Defend the defenseless? Stand up for the oppressed, murdered and tortured? Absolutely not. That would infringe on their rights.
You know full well that reams of proof exist showing you it was illegal, including the articles within your constitution that ally you to the UN rulings
Both Perle and the UN sec gen said it was illegal too yet you remain as the hear no evil monkey. Actually a fair summation of most of your views on life in general
All old ground, although, fair enough, the guilty will never be charged. That does not take away their guilt. Yours included for believing it to be the right course. Surge is working...oh you make me laugh ;-p
As for abortion, go back an re-read little stream'o'diatribe. It's not about killing. Killing assumes sentience. Killing assumes consciousness. Neither are relevant or in existence at the legal time abortions are carried out.
Different time, different thread, same result - continuous yarping on from you
Since you say virtually nothing to defend your position, like where in the Constitution we are bound to the UN, I feel no compulsion to address it. (I destryed that one then and will be glad to do it all over again, should you like to "whip it out.")
Killing does not suppose those things, IQ. Killing only supposes life to begin with. So, are you supporting killing human life? Yep. It is not any other kind of life. It is human life. Sad that you hold it in such low regard as to reduce it to a convenience.
IQ-
Not bringing up the past is in your best interest and I understand why you would not articulate. There will be many more opportunities to deflate.
Still love ya, man.
Whilst any cogent argument put to you has resulted in totally the opposite from my standpoint, will it be the right descriptor when your little party of warmongers troops out of the Penn Ave after the election?
Do be around for that show. Don't run like you did before.
The point I was trying to make was that Stephen Harper, like many in the world, supported the orihinal Iraq initiative. He felt so strongly that he stated "not following Americas made him ashamed to be a Canadian." Now Canuck 1963 cuts him all kinds of slack on this huge Gaff, yet he hamers away at John Mc Cain for supporting it.
Look it was easy for some one like Obama to vote against it, nobody knew who he was or cared when the vote was taken. All eyes were on the John McCains and maybe even the Stephen Harpers of the world.
Try to imagine, after looking at all the evidence presented to congress that you voted down the motion to go to war. Then imagine you were wrong, imagine a nuclear weapon being used and the consequences.
Real leaders tend to err on the side of caution, even Conservative Canadians like our favourite CANADIAN (not you canuck) Stephen Harper.
Bingo. Keep "hammering away" RWB.
The Monday morning quarterbacks have made the jump from "mistakes were made"(as they always are in the lead up to any war AND in its commission) to "Bush lied people died"...with almost nothing to support it.
Canuck is still my favorite Canadian. Like my favorite medical procedure is still unanaesthetized tooth removal. I love that.
That is disingenuous, I don't think it was "easy" for Obama or anyone in those early days to vote against the war, anymore than it was "easy" to vote for it.
Those that really understood the history of the region were very doubtful that we would be greeted as liberators, and in our ability to install a new government. To vote yes in those early days was easier on the basis of patriotism, than it was to accept the historic reality.
I dunno...I remember how it was all couched at the time and how deliberate the articulation was leading up to the decision to invade Baghdad. The hardleft in America did have an easy time in their opposition because they had and continue to have a media that gives credence to their positions that is not returned to the American right. The American right saw strong opposition, both governmental and socially (albeit less-so), to either wait, not go or something in between.
(Obama was not instrumental and nationally, no one cared what he thought between 2001 and 2003. That is why he is disengenuous when he references anything about his "record" from that time.)
Depending on where our troops were and what news agency covered it, there were a number of "greeted as liberators" moments. And, to that end, there still are.
We may disagree on which vote was 'easier' but it may be more accurate to discuss which motivations were easier to voice in public. Certainly the support of both Dems and Reps was visible since the "yes" vote was the majority.
First...I love you. I must tell the truth in order to keep my feilty to a higher power. You don't. You don't believe in one so you may adjust, change, deny and switch your "morality" based on the situation. You are left, at the end of the day, with rationalizing all of your thoughts and actions.
I probably don't do a very good job. You're right. I have never suffered fools lightly and for that I ask your forgiveness.
Streamlined
I don't think there is any question we were treated as liberators in the first few days of the invasion. However, I would agree that it did not last. The thirst for freedom may not be strong enough no matter how qunching the American drink.
But as I said earlier, the rationale for the war was WMD. Liberation of the people was just an American gift. Should the Iraqi people choose to sqander it it will be there loss.
However, I remain confident, the surge is working.
Yeah...gaining trust may take more time than we hoped. What does freedom look like to someone who has never seen it? Takes time.
WMD's were among our rationales for war in Iraq. It became the loudest as it gained popular support, but it did not stand alone. (Remember Powell's presentation to Congress...WMD's were only a part.)
Your expectations of how WMD might be found and how people might react is cartoonish, as is your thinking.
But again, don't help those in need. Don't stand up for something. Just remain prostrate to those that would behead you and others. cluck cluck
WMD's were found...in pieces over time. Certainly not in the amounts or warehouses we anticipated. Testimony from his lackeys and the constant line that he wanted them and was taking steps to get them. He claimed to have them...often. (Remember that yellowcake he didn't have? oops) Quit relying on the same tired news agengies that regurgitate the same narrative.
Villages turned out with flowers and flags...not a nation, but villages and people, with their kids. You go dig it up. It's out there and easy to find.
Oh mako, mako, how could you have missed that news? They did find a few rusted artillery shells that could have been used to hold biotoxins. They did also find some empty barrels that could have held precursors to chemical weapons.
There also was scrap from the dismanteled Scud missiles and the dismanteled laboratories and facilities the UN inspectors had found and destroyed.
Think of it! Someone could have gotten hurt if that stuff were thrown at him!
Illiterate IQ100- For months and sporadically during the war, evidence was found that SH had been pursuing various WMD's; from chemical antecedents to centrifuges that were claimed by one of his nuclear scientists to be part of his burgeoning nukes program. Feel free to check it out. (Stephen F. Hayes chronicled much of it since nary a story was to be found in the MSM.) But, it is definitely hard to see those things with your head firmly ensconced in your rear.
H
"His lackeys" refers to Saddam's, brainiac. You and the other stooges have thought me a Bush supporter because of my position on the war, which oddly, is not a major news item right now. Hmmm. How can this be? Is it too successful to cover? Is there a bias that would prevent coverage of good news? No, just go to CNN and MSNBC. You'll get the unvarnished truth there.
Buggery- you are right about that, but are lying in your omission about the other things found. Like the yellowcake... believe it was dropped off at a Canadian port in July. (If I recall, it was 550 metric tons...or some such thing.)
Pull your heads out for a peep. It's a mighty big world.
LOL Bug! Of course, I forgot about that veritable arsenal of lethality.
Or would that have been the remenants of stuff that was destroyed years ago in earlier air raids...the same stuff Hans Blix mentioned had been destroyed for over ten years...that same stuff?
LMFAO at poor ickle stweemy...
Sorry little buddy but your reasons for supporting an (illegal) war, which you so assertively defended, have been found to be fabricated, so you begin shouting conspiracy against the MSM. Bless ya, ya little twinky
In other words, your administration lied to you and, like a 3 year old having a tantrum, you just don't wanna accept the real picture
Oh well, stupid is as stupid continually shows us he does
IQ10 and buggery:
Prove it. You keep asserting things you cannot back. Conveniently leaving out details and events. You are sounding more and more like the c-student.
But, maybe my standards are too high.
Illegal war? Prove it.
Lied to get us there? Prove it.
You just can't stomach taking a stand for the defenseless, which ultimatel involves killing...unless it's for convenience sake.
Okay....here we go again. The following is from TODAYS events in Eye-Rak:
"Updated at 12:02 a.m. EDT, Oct. 16, 2008
A mass grave containing 22 bodies was discovered near Karbala. At least 19 Iraqis were killed and another 60 were wounded in other incidents as well, but no Coalition deaths were reported. Also, the Swedish Foreign Ministry reported that U.S. forces killed a Swedish citizen.
The White House dismissed earlier reports that a U.S-Iraqi security deal has been reached. Among issues stalling the agreement are immunity for U.S. troops and the length of their stay. Also, the U.S. military plans to send 35,000 troops home soon.
U.S forces said they identified the body of Abu Qaswarah, a Moroccan who was the second in command of al-Qaeda in Iraq. He was killed Oct. 5 during a security operation in Mosul. The military did not specify if he was killed during a controversial raid that left a number of civilian women and children dead on that day.
Today in Mosul, two six-year-olds were wounded when they found a bomb in a carton box. Police accidentally killed a civilian man and wounded a woman. Four policemen were wounded during a roadside bomb attack in Yabsat. Gunmen killed a civilian and wounded four others in Khazraj. A roadside bomb wounded two Iraqi soldiers in Intisar. Police killed a gunman who was attacking their patrol. Last night, a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol wounded nine civilians instead. A bomb damaged a church but left no casualties in al-Noor. Also, 15 suspects, including an Egyptian man, were arrested in separate raids.
In Baghdad, a bomb blast near an electrical plant left five dead and 12 wounded. A pair of roadside bombs at an Awakening Council (Sahwa) base in Doura wounded two Sahwa members and four Iraqi soldiers. One person was killed and four more were wounded during a roadside bomb blast near the Diyala Bridge. Mortars struck near a Sunni mosque in Adhamiya, killing two people and injuring six others. A roadside bomb on Palestine St. lured victims to a second bomb; two policemen were killed and two civilians were wounded. Two dumped bodies were recovered. Also, no casualties were reported when mortars struck near the airport. Police reported shelling in the Green Zone, but the U.S. military denied the attack and said it was controlled blasts.
Police found a mass grave containing 22 bodies in a deserted area near Karbala in Abu Aisha. The victims were shepherds who had gone missing last year. Elsewhere in Karbala, an intelligence officer and two of his children were wounded in a roadside bombing.
A roadside bomb killed one civilian and wounded four others in Balad Ruz.
A civilian was killed in Kut.
In Saidiya, gunmen killed two people, including a policeman, and injured a third."
That was just TODAY. On its own.
Shall I continue to give you up-dates everyday? It'd be my pleasure.
Like Stream-O says: "Go and take a peep. It's a mighty big world."
(good one about bringing up Colin Powell's speech....a speech he later said was a "blight on his career". Way to go, Stream-O).
Back to the vid, if you're capable of raising your game...
On a scale of 1 (being fire and brimstone and harping on about creationism) to 10 (continuous moaning about liberals) how much will you wail and gnash when McInsane is shown up at the polls?
Kinda clever for Obama to be able to show the predictability of your little buddies' campaign smearing tactics dontcha think?
Makes them out to be rather petty and pathetic in their unoriginality.
c-Minus: What does you article prove? Wars are tough? People sadly get killed? Accidents happen? Again, showing you would have been on the Axis' side during WWII...especially given your buffoonery on another thread.
I seem to remember your penchant for reading an article that you believed buttressed your opinions and often times do not. Like this one...which seemed to leave out (I am sure it was an accident) any of our successes.
I never said Powell was correct in his arguments/conclusions leading up to the war, only that he made the case for the war as a multi-pointed one, not a single issue one. Your comment shows you know this and therefore are a liar when characterizing the lead-up as anything but multi-faceted.
I see you and IQ both struggle with reading comprehension. Dang Canadian educational system.
You said "the surge is working". I've shown you it's not. Simple as pie. I'll give you another up-date tomorrow, and everyday thereafter, to edcuate you.
That's quite the broad brush you use (as you and type have done---many, many times) to paint the "Canadian edoocational system" with; of course, were I to sink to the level of YOU and your like-minded sewer-scum, I COULD just as easily say that YOU are a product of the "American edoocational system" as well......but I won't.
I'm much better than that. And it would be untrue.
C-minus, IQ: the messiah said the surge has worked beyond our wildest dreams. Is he a liar like GWB? Political whore, perhaps? That was in September. Now, either you have information to which he is not privy, you are wiser/ smarter than the messiah, or he is a big liar. I wouldn't normally use Hussein as a source, but his admission came at the end of a long stream of changing conditions, that were the intent of the surge.
And, yes, the surge was a tantamount admission that the previous strategy was not working. That happens in wars. Once the first shot is fired...etc, etc.
C-, you'd know about that, right hero?
Actually the "surge" kinda worked. Many of the religious fighters relocated to Afghanistan and give the coalition forces a bad day there.
As for streamy learning new words: Just one, comprehension is new with him (the word), he used his doomsday spell "DIE ILLITERATE!" before.
The reading bit is really some thing, especially in Powells presentation, the comics he did show were much more compelling. His show at the UN destroyed all my respect for him, you could tell that he was not believing what he presented there, but he did it anyway.
Thanks for giving us some reading from the whitehouse on the surge stream'o'bs.
I'm shocked stunned and amazed that it doesn't come attached with a big 'Mission Accomplished' emblazoned across the header
Of course it's gonna say it's working... Use a little critical thought here (you seem so keen to blame others around for lacking this yet so easily show yourself as a moron by posting this crap)
Oh yeah, Stream. I'll believe ANYTHING the current White House puts out. I mean, jeeeez...they are such a PILLAR of truth....ain't they? You betcha.
Thanks, but I think I'll stick to giving your daily dose of REAL up-dates:

At least 12 Iraqis were killed and 24 others were wounded in light violence. Also, Two U.S. soldier deaths were reported as well. In political news, the Iraqi Parliament accused U.S. General Odierno of meddling in Iraqi affairs when he said that Iran was bribing parliament members. Elsewhere, Turkish forces and the PKK continued their hostilities at the Turkey-Iraq border. Meanwhile, a heavy sandstorm crippled Baghdad this morning, delaying news reports for several hours.
An American soldier was killed in an indirect fire attack in Diyala province. Indirect fire generally means missiles, mortars and the like. One U.S. soldier died of non-combat causes as well.
Clashes broke out in Amara where three policemen and four civilians were killed. Police are searching for the perpetrators.
In Baghdad, two Iraqi soldiers were wounded in a Waziriya roadside bombing. A bomb attached to a car wounded three people. A body was found in Amil. Two bombs were defused in Sadr City.
A roadside bomb killed a six-year-old and wounded his 7-year-old brother as they were herding sheep in Buhriz.
In Baquba, a suicide bomber failed to take other lives.
A suicide car bomber wounded three policemen in Balad.
In Mosul, seven Iraqi soldiers were wounded in a hand grenade attack. Two children were wounded in a roadside bombing. Another roadside bomb wounded two people. Three suspects were detained in one incident, while another five were captured in another. Also, Iraqi soldiers fired into the air, wounding four civilians.
Police killed a kidnapper in Kirkuk. Gunmen killed a civlian separately.
Gunmen in in Chamchamal killed a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan organization.
Two suspects were detained in Kut.
Clashes resumed in Turkey between Turkish forces and Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) separatists. At first, Turkish officials said that five people were killed on each side; later they said they killed 18 rebels.. The PKK claimed to have shot down a helicopter just over the border in Turkey; Turkey blamed the crash on mechanical failures. Both sides are considered fairly unreliable sources for accurate casualty figures. Because of the terrain, third parties figures are nearly impossible. The latest hostilities began two weeks ago after a particularly bloody clash.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Charawa reported they received shelling from an area on the Iranian side of the border. No casualties were reported. Like Turkey, Iran frequently shells suspected Kurdish rebel targets in northern Iraq, but the origins of this particular attack are unknown.
Also, thirty innocent detainees were released today from Camp Bucca . The U.S. military said that appoximately 15,000 detainees were released this year. Critics have said that many detainees in Iraq are innocent and have been kept in jails for months if not years without trial.
Yesterday, U.S. forces reported killing the second in command of al-Qaeda in Iraq, while Sweden announced the death a Swedish citizen. It turns out that the two are the same person. Abu Qaswarah was a native of Morocco but also held Swedish citizenship."
And the "success" of the "surge" continues......................
Only a few quick points are necesary:
1) You routinely choose to believe op-eds as facts. (Not in this particular post, but ubiquitous elsewher.)
2) You generalize from any given report/news item as absolute certainty of your already established opinion.
3) You choose to select ONLY those pieces that match your already established bias.
From either of our vantage points we don't "know" the veracity of the big picture of the surge's success let alone the the particulars. You just choose to believe, all logic aside, that which comes from the pulpit behind which you sing.
(Religious reference on purpose.)
You three should get together, if you haven't already, and make macaroni art. You just need some glue (DON'T EAT, IQ!), macaroni (DON'T EAT, C!) and paper plates (DON'T EAT, BUGGERED!).
Oh Stream O Bullshit, you selected ONE article emanating from the White Arse to buttress your insane view that all is lovely in Iraq and then have the temerity to suggest Canuck is being selective...??
Grow the fuck up.
Guess seeing Obama ahead by some magnitude on the polls gets to you a bit eh?
Doesn't your little vote-buddy (you know, the one you said you didn't like, who works for the party that doesn't represent you but for whom you will STILL vote) have to not only convert a democratic state, she has to win ALL of the undecided states to have a chance?
I hope I'm LMAO at you in 19 days
BTW Whether the surge is working or not in NO WAY detracts from the illegality of the war...
By the way Streamy, remember that Zeigiest film? You know that one that effectively destroys your pathetic beliefs in the inherent goodness of religion and your love of war?
Your daily update of the "success" of the "surge":

A spate of bombings opened the workweek in Baghdad. At least 10 Iraqis were killed and another 25 were wounded across the country. Meanwhile, the Shi'ite coalition in government suggested that a potential security pact with the U.S. needs more discussion and amendments. Also, the new British defense secretary is in Baghdad to discuss a similar deal for British troops.
The Shi'ite Coalition, lead by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, has said that a U.S-Iraqi security pact, supposedly in its final draft, will need more amendments before they approve it. The deal has been in discussions for months, but in recent weeks, news stories falsely trumpeting a finalized deal have made the headlines. Among the snags are immunity for U.S. troops, a solid pullout date for American servicemembers and assurance of Iraqi sovereignty. Political rival Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr has condemned the security deal.
British Defense Secretary John Hutton met Prime Minister al-Maliki to negotiate a new pact during his first trip to Baghdad today. Al-Maliki recently suggested British troops leave Iraq as their usefulness in security is over; however, al-Maliki has been angry with the British since last year when the British made a secret deal with Maliki's political rivals.
In Baghdad, a roadside bomb targeting a police patrol near a petrol station in Zaafaraniya killed two people and wounded ten more. A second bomb exploded nearby shortly afterwards, wounding another seven people. A third bomb wounded five people in Ghazaliya. Police in Karrada were able to defuse a fifth bomb. Life is hard, it's hard from the moment of conception. We fight to survive, we fight to prosper, we fight to learn, we fight to achieve, we fight to remain free, those of us with any character fight our whole lifes. And occasionally we make mistakes, it is how we deal with these mistakes that distinguishes us.
For some the quick, cut, run, blame the other guy is the easy way out (read Canuck1963)
For others it is facing the challenge, rising to be the best that you can be. I marvel at Canuck 1963, to be able to call a Mrs. palin, a women who has risen to the level she has, a mother who chose to bring life into the world she likely new was imperfect, a whore is just inconceivable.
These are the comments only a sensationaly small, simple and angry man could hurl.
No one would dare make such a comment without the veil that keeps him anonymous.
I ask you canuck surly you don't speak like this in public?
RWB-you are right.
I'll go a step farther: Canuck is a coward. It is demonstrable over time and fun to vet. (Actually, it is painful to watch it unfold. Lots of school yard taunts about what he might do if he had the chance, etc.)
C-minus: I said months ago that I was not a Republican and that they had abandoned me a long time ago. No one is Johnny-come-lately here...you are just out of ammo, save the windbag supplies that you keep stockpiled.
BTW-prove she is a political whore. I can prove you are a liar. I can prove your hypocricy. I can prove your cowardice.
THIS....coming from a guy who never had the guts to wear ANY uniform in his whole life....but has no problems being a cheerleader for some OTHER kid to go into harms way, and get blasted to bits.
IQ1: I supported Clinton when he signed (kicking and screaming all the way there) welfare reform. Didn't make me a Dem.
Not happily voting for McCain...just voting for him.
Liberal and socialist are derogatory terms. duh.
I do hail from the south, Bigot #2. (2 out of the 3 stooges are now confirmed bigots.)
Keep talking, Mako. Your IQ is dazzling.
So is your capacity for bigotry, stereotyping and generalizing. Like C-minus, you MUST put people in pigeon holes in order to keep your worldview neat and clean. Mustn't think now.
>Liberal and socialist are derogatory terms. duh. I do hail from the south
Hm, the fact that there are other people as stupid and uneducated as you (I don't mean to say all southerners are such, but streamy seems to live in an "interesting" neighbourhood) does not make you or your drivel more intelligent.
What is your obsession with all things American. For the most part Republicans are known to be conservative minded people. Conservative parties exist in England and Canada, if you paid a little more attention at home you might understand this.
The last time checked it was still an election between the Democrats and the Republicans. Although, if you would like to send your man Harper over here to pitch in I think he would fit in.
On that note, to bad your man Harper didn't get his majority, it would have been nice to see some of his many pro-American ideas passed into law. (right to life comes to mind)
Lastly, I gotta say dude you have constantly avoided the question of your employment, not that it's any of our business. However the second you started bragging about being thrice decorated you had to see it coming.
So let's put this thing to rest and how about you answer the question Canuck, COP, JAIL GUARD, MALL SECURITY, SECRET AGENT?
Come on canucky spill it, or are you to embarressed.
Note to TINU1
Try not to pay much attention to this plank canuck1963, he is the acclaimed ego maniac of the Glumbardian world, apparently his only world. Actually some of us are concerned that a family pet, small child or wife takes a beating every time his comments are challenged.
All of your dumb points have been answered.....by me.....over time. For real. You're just too stupid and too blind to have noticed. THAT...is homework YOU will have to do, and go back over a years-worth of postings on this site. Not interested in spelling things out for the umpteenth time, for clatter-brained dolts like yourself, who become obssessed on a PERSONAL level, with anything related to ME. So get to work. You've got a lot to go through. I don't expect to see you at that keyboard until you're fucking done, Mr. Pap Shmeer.
But...I ALWAYS believe in throwing a starving dog a bone (I guess its the softy in me), but ONLY a bone. The rest of the entree you'll have to work for:
Would it blow your mind if I told you that I was a member of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (C.S.I.S.)? And that the reason I have so much staggered time to able to post on here, is because I currently have dozens of case files that take me between home, and out in the field? And further, that as part of my caseload, I presently (and personally) have at least eighty-two individuals of whom I am directly responsible, for keeping under 'observation', as "Persons Of Interest" (P.O.I.) , pertaining to National Security concerns? And even that I constantly liase with my spook-counterparts stateside, to co-ordinate ongoing operations and investigations?
I mean.....that WOULD be quite the bone to toss at you.....wouldn't it?
Or maybe even that I could have posted the EXACT addresses, phone numbers, SSN's of every SINGLE one of you brainless, fanatical, brainwashed puddin' heads (all three of you) on these boards LOOOOOONG ago....but didn't, because let's face it: THAT....would be stepping Over The Line (O.T.L.)?
What if I were to tell you that? Hmmm? That I'm far too professional---and above---that sort of nonsense?
Wouldn't that be JUST OH-SO-PEACHY-KEEN if you were to know and believe that???
Right.
As a known liar, why would anyone believe you?
You also won a Tony in your local theatre group playing the cracked teacup in "Beauty and the Beast".
Wait, there's more...you infiltrated Dr. Evil's plans to buy a missile from Kreblackistan all the while getting the girl and...wasn't that the one where you went back in time...I dunno.
No...I think it was in a North African casino where you made the line, "Shaken, not stirred." famous.
No...I think it was in Paris where you would come home and immediately assume the role of the hunted, as your housekeeper, Cato, kept you sharp with silent attacks. You were heard to say, "Catoooo...you little yellow swine." or some such thing.
Ok that is the first real laugh you have given. C.S.I.S I'm falling off my chair you big fickin blow hard. Your just another Canadian Tom, Dick or Harry with dreams of grandeur. You ever hear of the chaos theory? Oh dude, you are much closer than you think your just on the wrong side of it. C.S.I.S Ha Ha Ha. Oh! you have know idea do you?
