He has an absurd style of humour... You can't compare children to adults, they are like a totally different species. They are under way differnt sets of social rules and expectations. But that's what he does.
I've seen other comedians do the same thing using pets, just not as well.
and for the record I have 2 children... one is a baby... and don't ask me "How is she?"

I don't care that it's supposed to be a "joke".... and the fact that she wouldn't tell him about the dog shows that the relationship already has major problems. I think he's the fucking asshole. This makes me piss myself laughing. I have 4 of the little monsters and any parent, no matter how hard you try, has moments where homicidal and psychotic thoughts towards our spawn invade our thoughts. And little girls really are disgusting, ask any mother.

I thought it was laugh-out-loud funny. Obviously he's making a joke about parenting. You all just don't know what stand up is truly like. After reading some of these posts, I'd like to kick some of you right in the fucking mouth. You are what is wrong with this country. Get bent. Here's an idea: laugh a little bit. It will make your pathetic excuse for a life a little more enjoyable; not much, but a little bit.
