It really happened. After it looked like she wouldn't fit and the movie cut away, she tried some other positions to see if she could get all the way into the machine. And then it took a couple minutes because her quarters were in her jeans pockets and she had to get them out and put them in the machine, and then 3 minutes of filling full of water before it actually ran...
And the guys just stood there with dumb expressions on their faces for all 10 minutes of that. It is really a sad story.
