Damn....I continue to be word-oriented despite Glumbert's subscriber's elsewise orientation. "Well there what they're thinking their'd be afterward", sorta thing.
Re: gymyg...........you are an oasis in this arid scape of blather. Actually, not that great, but did you thrill for a moment ?
On a national level, it is true that a person like me, (given that I don't live in Florida or Ohio in the first place,) is unlikely to change much. That said, on a local level, you can do quite a bit, and you should try because you'd be amazed at what you can accomplish...
But I need to go to bed now, because I need to get up tomorrow and testify at city hall.
Voting is important... and I'll explain why....ahem... Well, now that I agree with the feeling that one vote won't REALLY change shiite in the day to day running of my rather pedestrian and depressingly average life. I do vote, regardless of how uninformed I feel/am.
BUT... and the true point of this, if in fact, it is a point is ....... The difference between a good government and a bad government is huge, and that my vote will not make a good one bad or even vice/verse. But the step from bad government to Evil dictator is a real small one. From bad Government to Inquisition is but a stumble. From bad government to the loss of my, aformentioned, waste of a GREAT and FREE life...... could be that ONE fucking vote.....
Thats why it's important... and i really don't care if your informed about it AT ALLL!!!! vote for tha hottest one,or the oldest, or the one who gives YOU a break in your taxes.. or whomever.... Hell pick randomly for all I care. I do believe that our ONLY freedom that truely exists is the right to pick the BEST shitty, selfish, ruling elite that we can get.
pipe....almost never found cause to value your posts.....but this is a classic. I don't agree with everything you said, not by far....but you capture the essence of what the electorate can and should do.
