Miter--- this looks right up your alley!!

Mitercut would have .50 cal machine guns mounted on the side, the bullets would be DU tipped and there would probably be a flame thrower on there as well...

Good idea baculum, and say maybe twin pulsed plasma cannon in the 10 watt range...

Does anyone else think this thing looks highly unstable? I mean hand grasps for two! WTF?

plasma cannons would be cool, but now were dealing with weight issues....too much more and you'll have to buy a jet to haul it all around on

It needs gyro balancing hardware, or a fleet of long distance runners to run along side the unit on your way to work.

Perhaps that will be another job for illegal immigrants.

Also needs to reverse thrust on the port motor. That will help keep him stable and from spinning to his left.

I would love to toss stuff into the top of the turbine, like live cats or something. watch the bloody parts come flying downward.
Now that would be an awesome video to upload to lolcats.com

Prototype people.... prototype

Pretty impressive for a kid to have made this. Yes it's unstable but then so were the jet packs that really DID work and the DOD spent millions looking at the possibilities.

What's impressive is this kid made something capable of lifting a human being into the air by using materials commonly available and without resorting to multi million dollar budgets

I want him to soar, with the full knowledge that what goes up must come down

Therefore I would pay to see him fly untethered/crash

I couldn't do this. My enormous penis would weigh me down too much. I suppose I could give an extra boost to my chances of take-off by letting rip a huge fart, but I still don't think I'd make it.
And you know what? I wouldn't care, because if you have a penis like mine, you don't have to show off by flying. You just drop your pants and hey presto! Instant happiness.

Yup - with one like that you definitely wouldn't be able to get it up

I think I might look like a killjoy again BUT this thing does look strangely a lot like the one on this website: http://www.martinjetpack.com
So I guess the "homemade" part isn't completely er... true.

arseface,spideym68... Your comments leave me with the feeling U think U could do better... and I for one wish U luck and can't WAIT for the video of it.

As for the vid... props to the kid!! (pun intended) It is obvious that he has learned , with Walmart and Homehardware parts, what it took the US Goventment millions to discover about Personal Propdriven vehicles. Balance is next to impossible.

Hmmm.. I wonder if there is any 'DIY' gyroscopes on the net... If there is, that is about all this kid needs.... beats the hell outta what I made this month... Kraft Dinner with hotdogs make for an even more boring vid than this....trust me.

My 2 cents :Sorry
