This is dead-on. Rugby and American Football are the rough and tumble sports, whereas football/soccer is comprised of the sissy-boy types. And what is with the crowds going nuts over one goddamned point?
Hey, don't underestimate soccer. It takes a hell of a lot of acting skill to drop down and play the injured convincingly if the opposing team managed to get the ball from you in a perfectly legal move.
clearly, u have never attended an English test match. four beers in, sun glinting down on the field of play, first songs of the afternoon and the best part of a roast beef buffet settling nicely in your belly and i bet you would change your mind.
manolo....I have no idea about how the game is played, how one scores, how many people are on the field, or on a team, or anything esle about cricket.......
.....but you had me when you started with the glint, the songs, the roast beef (I assume you forgot to mention the quality adult beverages)....
