It's kind of obvious right now, that you and I ain't NEVAH gonna see eye-to-eye on ANYTHING, really (much less politics), but that's cool.
You remain committed to supporting Palin and her running mate, McCain......and I remain supportive of the Obama/Biden ticket. However, seeing as how for every reason you give as to why YOU think Palin/McCain would be good for the nation I can give you TWO reasons why my picks would be better.......I must conclude that your poilitical choices boil down to one issue:
Race.
No, you haven't come out and overtly said it, but given the fact that both Palin/McCain have REPEATEDLY demonstrated they are WOEFULY inept and badly unprepared to lead the U.S., I can think of absolutely NO OTHER REASON for your continued preference for them. None at all. And no, I'm not some "liberal-lefty playing the race card". Far from it. I'm actually evaluating these candidates based on a few very simple criteria: integrity, sincerity, knowledge of the issues, depth, perception of competence, historical data pertaining to performance, past decision-making processes, etc.
I said this in another thread, and I'll say it again (mostly because of the fact that since the current implosion of the U.S. economy shows that those who do not learn from history....are doomed to hellishly repeat it....again and again):
One of the most revered Presidents in U.S. history was a man who never served time in the military; was never a POW; started out as a lawyer; became a senator; and was from Illinois. His name was Abraham Lincoln.
Does the pattern of this man sound like someone you may have heard about TODAY?
