I did that once.

It was the one year anniversary of 9-11.
My now husband, had made a huge flag pole to fly on the back of his 1973 Oldsmobile. So when he left for work that morning, I followed him out to the street to take pictures.
Beautiful morning, bright sunrise and no rain.... the birds were chirping. I got 3 good shots as he drove by with that oversized flag flying proud and strong behind him and then headed off to work.
It was a good day. It was great to be alive. It was good to get this day in the past so America could keep healing. Next thing I know I'm face down on the pavement, spitting sand out of my mouth and tasting blood. But what I thought was sand was in fact my tooth that I'd broken and grated on the pavement.
Instead of going to work that morning I spent it in the Emergency Room getting 6 stitches in my lip and making an appointment with a dentist to repair my vampire-ish front tooth.
You should've seen the look on my guy's face when he walked in after work to find me looking like I'd been in a barfight. HA!!
