also 100 on a 1TB drive would mean it's a 10GB movie which is a higher resolution than your average screen. It's entirely unnecessary.

Good DVD quality is running at about 2G/h, sound is eating quite a bit of that too. So 100-200 movies to 1T.

BTW: My screen is 2.5m diagonal and has 1280x720 pixels, so not exactly what you use to watch low quality low bandwith internet movies.

More likely some bad stuff...
