An episode from Reno 911 comes to mind...

If this were a Reno 911 episode Junior would have had his head bashed in with a Louisville slugger.

Bad cop. No doughnut.
I can't complain. State Trooper pulled me over on my way home for doing 81 in a 65. Knock on wood...........

"How do we write this one up?" How about "F**k Up!" How about "We will pay for your broken windows."

at least the guy did something......give the poor guy a break, mistakes do happen.....he didn't deny it like some public officials have been known to do

not discrediting the heroics of the peace officer. Just finding humor in the situation. Jack A**

Yeah and the lady was really nice and understanding about the whole thing lol!

At least they all had a good laugh... except the people with the burning house, I guess.

Shit happens... but the good thing is that they all stay relaxed about his mistake. :-)

LOL You gotta give em an A for effort. They may not be the smartest people in the world but this guy's heart was in the right place.

I am curious as to why he had to break all those windows? It was really helping him considering he just kept going back to the door.

i think the idea was to let some heat and smoke out, but seeing as there was no heat and smoke rises, he didnt even bust the right ones out, lol. this video is funny, i like how she reacted as well as the apologizing that went on. this was at least genuine.

it is easier to go through a window then a door..he explains it to his supervisor close to the end.

Do NOT break the windows in a burning house, you'll cause a draft that will speed up the fire. He could at least waited 30sec. for somebody to get to the door. That guy should stick to eating doughnuts.

Although I think breaking the windows wouldn't let heat and smoke out but oxygen in, feeding the fire instead. : )

The PD undoubtedly paid for the broken windows. He was obviously one of those "Good Cops". Nice to know they're out there looking out for us.
Forgot to mention above on ramblerousers comment, i only got a warning. That in my book, is the epitome of a Good Cop! :D

I'm more concerned about all those coppers piling into a smoke-filled house with no breathing apparatus. That's a fine way of turning a situation from one casualty to several. Do these guys get any training at all? Or are they just shown how to shout, smash things, and eat doughnuts?
Yeah, neilhoskins, breaking the wrong windows is one thing, but those cops must not have gotten the right training to enter a smoke-filled house that way. Oh, wait... breaking windows and no BA... these cops may have had good intentions, and zero fire training.
