I think these folks went on strike today.

Deb?

This vid could be counter productive for the workers union. If the management sees this they will ask why they take so long to assemble an aircraft if it can be done in minutes as you can see here...

I saw Deb ... I just know it!

Too bad Boeing left out all of the parts that are outsourced around the globe in places such as China, Australia, Europe, ad nauseam. We would get a better picture of how we rely on the rest of the word to get our products manufactured.

why do they go over it in like 10 different paint colors? (not talking about the graphics I mean they paint the entire fucking plane)

Primer, paint, masks, logos, possibly finishing. That is not exactly 10...

The multi coat painting process is about corrosion protection, the whole deal goes something like this....

After chemical stripping of all contaminants, an acid etching is performed to super clean the aluminum, followed by an alodine conversion coating for corrosion protection which also provides super duper adhesion qualities, then two coats of a two part epoxy zinc chromate primer followed by up to three coats of Jet Glo or Acry Glo paint after which the striping then N #s go on, finally ending the job with clear coat.....well you asked!

Oh I failed to mention this is how I paint my deer stands ;)
LOL@deer stand ... that must be one fancy deer stand! And, why is it called a deer stand? Deer do not stand in it ... maybe they should call it a hunter stand?!
Good question surfergirl, I think it's because while in it, you stand over deer. They do call it a hunter, or hunting stand as well, and yes it is one fancy deer stand/blind (oh no, yet another term). I have just rebuilt it due to a farming "incident" (farmer crashed into it and bent up a lot of metal) so now it's all nice and new again including an ultra flat camo paint job (just kidding on doing the above process to it).

Miter in the hilltown we only hunt deer during knife week, a good hunter can take the buck without waking the doe.

Jimmy, there has been a few times where I was tempted to drop from my tree stand, with knife in hand (or mouth Rambo style) and take a buck standing under me, to go hand to antler just to even the playing field a bit!

Hey MC. If you drop out of the tree with a knife in you mouth (Rambo style), make sure the blade points outwards.

Thanks for the "tip" Sven.

it's so the paint is all one thickness...................air wouldn't flow right on an uneven surface.............................

I am grateful to Glumbert for providing such a wide body of expertise on the aviation industry.
For fuck's sake - none of you bastards know the first thing about airplanes, do you? I mean, honestly? No is the answer.
Just go to the bar, drink a bit, dream of meeting your dream girl and then when you do, worry that your penis is too small.
Thank God I'm not like you fools!

People that talk about their penis all the time have serious issues with their self-esteem. They really need to go see a doctor about it.
Enormous we are not the problem, you are, but of course you will never see through your enormous penis.
Oh, and those same people that are always talking about how big their penis is, usually have a very small one.
