a short list of why it's hard to hate the Yankees...these are class people...oh hell, I think ARod is too. My wife is saying to me naughty things re: Yankee fans (like, eat....well....eat "stuff", and die...)...my wife can be difficult at times.

1-I have stated Before and I state it here! if not for the Yanks n Sox rivalry I wouldn't be half the fan I am today! Its what my baseball is all about!
2-I'm a Yankees fan! Not an Indians or Sox fan! And will never root for another team other then the Yanks.(baseball) Not to say one team beating another team won't make me happy. It would and does! But to actually root for another team........naa its just not in me. our season is over and yours isn't! I will say good luck and best wishes, but with only half a heart. I must try thoe!
3-If A Rod is not with the yankees next year he will most likely be wearing a Angels uniform. Sorry there is no future in Boston for A Rod! plus I don't think your payroll will allow it. Now this is just my opinion below.
He had the best year of his career in NY and already saw himself through the hard times, now he will ask for more money and to make sure he doesn't end up playing in that dreaded stadium called Fenway and for that vile team known as the Sox we will give it to him!LOL
Randal....I fully appreciate your sentiments.....hell, I'm a SOX fan....we have far more experience with frustration than the Yankee people....faaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrr morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
And even now, we (I) feel paranoid, while a Yankee fan, situation reversed, would probably feel "destined", as regards World Series contention. For us (me), one game at a time....sweating all the way.
As you have noted, ARod isn't likely to get to Boston....but he is a valuable commodity (as Steinbrenner views his minions) and my opinion is that he is in pin-stripes again in '08....the only unknown factor being his willingness to work for a slavish owner and unknown manager. Who knows.

I have to disagree with you UDB! I have apologized to some people awhile back for some things I said. and the simple reason is I wanted to really fuck them up! And if at all posable I would have, at that exact moment!
You see, thats how I used to be. If I got pissed then I would ,and could fuck someone up. Not to say I didn't get my ass kicked! I did plenty of times.
But after giving a beating to some poor fucker I would laps into a depression that would last for some time. And that almost killed me! So now when that anger comes out I feel very bad and need to cleanse my thoughts,nothing does that better for me then a sincere amends.
That is sooo much better than 'squish'.....can I see that again in slow motion. But don't forget.....what you send out comes back on you threefold. Death has only made my power greater, mwhaaahhhhhh, whatever you do don't look behind you. You want to see something scary.....do you really want to see something scary?
