This guy wasn't that great, he had an odd accent in the performance. It was almost like an american speaking spanish with no accent spanish accent at all. Just odd.
Kinda like Nelly Furtado with her fake accent in all her songs. lol
I thought this guy was fantastic - breathing, enunciation, dynamics.... He was singing Italian I believe, which has much less of a hispanic sound to it despite being quite similar linguistically.
Spot on about Nelly though.... can't stand that twat.
This guy is obviously quite a talented amateur singer, but that's as far as it goes. Visit any music academy and there are thousands of kids with voices every bit as good. They just don't go on crap shows like this.
As for the "panel" - one dimensional, moronic celebs who would all be total losers if shows like this didn't exist. (A good reason if any were needed to pull the plug on them).

A) The Demonic baby may have been singing "the Ode to Hobbs". B) It is well known that sitting through any opera performance is torture. C) Most opera is based on religion, as per the sins of the players.

Thanks Chuck, I hope they can get this working! This is what I'm facing, melanoma that is, so far it hasn't spread so my fingers are crossed! They offer this treatment at the U of M hospital where I go, so any good news about kicking cancers ass is good news to me!
Nice one chuck, my dear old mum died of skin cancer, good to hear there is hope for others, , when you see skin cancer, you soon forget caring whether the treatment is ethical
twalker - I don't suppose he's a hack, but he certainly has a long way to go to polish his skill. Interestingly, the link you posted as a comparison to Paul Potts also has another link to Luciano Pavorotti's performance of Nessun Dorma...in fact, at least two performances, one of which was his last. I'd say Paul Potts and this most recent discovery both have much to do before making the grade, tho' Potts clearly is a few steps ahead of this newbie.
My definition of talent is to be able to pull of your performance without getting choked up, this big oaf doesn't do that! Like Chaz said watch a real pro and you'll see the difference!
